    Michael Conlan has wanted to fight for a world title in his home city for some time.

    It may not have been the St Patrick's Day showdown he had originally hoped for, but that will not matter to Conlan or his legion of supporters who have packed out Belfast's SSE Arena.

    The home crowd will be there hoping to witness the 31-year-old beat champion Luis Alberto Lopez and secure the IBF world featherweight title.

    Mexican Lopez defeated Josh Warrington in Leeds in December to claim the title, so is no stranger to upsetting a fancied home fighter.
