    FT: Monaghan 1-17 Meath 1-14; Armagh 1-12 Galway 0-15

Thanks for joining us this afternoon as it was a case of job done for both Armagh and Monaghan.

The Orchard County have earned themselves a week off, their victory over Galway sending them straight through to the last eight as group winners.

Vinny Corey's side will be in action next week, though, a place in the preliminary quarter-finals their reward for beating Meath. That game will be played away from home after a third-placed finish but, with a first win since January, the Farney will be delighted to extend their summer by at least another week.

There'll be more reaction across BBC Sport NI and, of course, we'll have news of the all-important draw tomorrow too.

  2. Monaghan keep championship alive with victorypublished at 17:04 British Summer Time 16 June

    FT: Monaghan 1-17 Meath 1-14

Monaghan finished third in Group 4 thanks to a 1-17 to 1-14 win over Meath in Breffni Park.

Vinny Corey's side started well but were pegged back by Jack McCarron's first-half goal for Meath.

The Farney took control in the second half, and would lead by as many as nine points, raising hopes that they could pip Louth to second place in the group on points difference.

In the end, though, they had to quell a Meath fightback just to be sure of their first victory since Round One of the Allianz League all the way back in January.

"You don't always get it your own way in senior inter-county football.

"We've turned the tide somewhat in the last two weeks but the big test is next week. It all comes down to the next two weeks.

"This day two weeks there's only four sides left in the competition."

  4. Armagh reach All-Ireland quarter-finals with Galway drawpublished at 16:45 British Summer Time 16 June

    Armagh 1-12 Galway 0-15

Armagh have topped Group 1 and are into the All-Ireland quarter-finals following a remarkable comeback to secure a 1-12 to 0-15 draw against Galway at Markievicz Park.

Armagh looked to be dead and buried when they trailed by five points with 15 minutes to go, but everything changed on 59 minutes when Conor Turbitt overturned a kick-out, fed the ball to Tiernan Kelly and he hit the back of the net.

Five on the bounce for Meath as Daithi McGowan shoots over.

I don't think Monaghan realise how close they are to Louth in the scoring difference for a home preliminary quarter-final, they trail Louth by three points as it stands.

    Four added minutes.

Killian Lavelle kicks Monaghan back into the lead from long range as the half-time whistle sounds.

That really was a half of two halves as Monaghan looked so dominant in the early exchanges racing into an early three point lead with Meath failing to score inside the first eleven minutes.

Cathal Hickey's goal ignited the Royal challenge as they went into an unlikely lead.

The Farney men kicked the last three scores before the break to regain the lead in a really impressive response.
