    Lando Norris finishes fastest at the end of the first part of qualifying for the sprint race.

  4. Uh oh, Sergio Perez is in trouble here. He drops into the elimination zone...

  5. Fernando Alonso and Nico Hulkenberg both improve and leap out of trouble - sixth and ninth respectively.

  6. Lance Stroll leaps up to sixth and Alex Albon drops into trouble.

    Pretty much as we thought it would go so far with two McLarens and two Ferraris in the top four.

  10. Lando Norris goes even quicker, a 1:22.021 putting him a tenth of a second clear of Charles Leclerc's time.

  11. A 1:22.156 propels Charles Leclerc back to the top of the order with his Ferrari team-mate Carlos Sainz second.

  13. A good lap from George Russell to go P2, just 0.026 off Lando Norris' time. Russell's team-mate Lewis Hamilton is down in 10th.

  14. McLaren flex their muscles now as Lando Norris moves into top spot with 1:22.785, that's half a second quicker than Charles Leclerc.

  15. Max Verstappen does his first lap time with a 1:23.291 - that puts him second behind Charles Leclerc.

  16. Pretty much everyone is out on the track now as Charles Leclerc, fastest in practice, goes P1 with 1:23.259.

  17. Kevin Magnussen sets the early place with a 1:23.750 before Valtteri Bottas goes top of the order with 1:23.407.

  18. Around half of the field are out on the track. Both Ferrari drivers are among them but no rush to get out yet from the McLarens or the Mercedes.

  19. First qualifying starts

    Off we go with the first part of sprint qualifying. Lance Stroll leads the early runners out.
