    McLaren CEO Zak Brown tells Sky Sports on the pit wall Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri are getting a banker lap in early in this final qualifying session. Piastri can't hook up a clean lap and goes P2 as Norris goes on to provisional pole.

    But it's all change as Charles Leclerc goes top, then George Russell beats the Ferrari driver's time and now Max Verstappen jumps the two of them with a 1:15.671.

    And now Norris has his lap deleted for exceeding track limits.

    Speaking to BBC 5 Live's Rosanna Tennant, Haas driver Oliver Bearman, who didn't set a time in Q3, said: "I would have liked to do some laps in qualifying, it made my life very difficult by performing badly and not up to standard in the practice sessions.

    "I lost a lot of laps and the issues with the gearboxes pretty much sums up the weekend."

    If it can be fixed for the race on Sunday, he added: "I hope so, we haven't understood exactly what happened but I think we will be able to."

    Red Bull's Liam Lawson spoke to Sky Sports after getting knocked out of Q1: "We expected the start of qualifying to be tough, the first laps we expected to be off and then we were planning on building throughout the session.

    "Obviously going off in that second lap put everything out of the water, the last lap was good until the last sector where I had a big drop. Missing FP3 doesn't help any of us but I also shouldn't be going off in qualifying."

    Carlos Sainz takes a big of chunk of kerb on his flying lap and has to head back to the Williams garage for q check-up. Lewis Hamilton is eighth and Charles Leclerc is sitting fifth, the Ferraris yet to knock on the door if the top times.

    Yuki Tsunoda, meanwhile, puts his Racing Bulls car between Leclerc and seventh-placed Alex Albon Albon in sixth.

    The home driver is bringing the fight to Max Verstappen. Oscar Piastri's latest lap earns him top spot in the leaderboard with a time of 1:15.468. He's two-tenths faster than Verstappen and 0.088 seconds better off than his team-mate Lando Norris, who now sits second.

    One Red Bull left then. Max Verstappen is purple in the opening two sectors but he has to make a little correction towards the final part of the lap. It doesn't hinder the four-time world champion, however, and he pops in the quickest time to go top of the timesheets.
