Elsewhere, Meath booked their place in the last eight with a 0-7 to 0-4 win over Kildare in Group Three, with Armagh next up for the Lilywhites.

Eoin McElholm (left) is hoping to establish himself in the Tyrone senior set-up after winning back-to-back All-Ireland Under-20 titles

Eoin McElholm says Tyrone "should always be pushing" for All-Ireland titles but insists manager Malachy O'Rourke is keeping the team grounded ahead of Sunday's pivotal Group One game against Cavan (16:15 BST).

Tyrone, Cavan, Donegal and Mayo all enter the final round of the round-robin stage locked on two points after two games.

The Red Hands have been talked about as All-Ireland contenders after securing an impressive win over Ulster champions Donegal in Ballybofey, but McElholm says the players are paying no heed to outside noise.

"That's what Malachy's good at, keeping us grounded," said McElholm, who is fresh off being named the Under-20 Footballer of the Year after helping his county secure back-to-back All-Ireland crowns at the grade.

"Obviously Tyrone always should be All-Ireland contenders, just for such a good footballing county and the amount of quality in the team.

The Premier flew out of the traps with Jason Forde cracking home a fourth-minute goal and although Laois rallied to remain seven back on a number of occasions, Tipp led 1-18 to 0-12 at the break.

They put the game to bed early in the second period with quickfire goals from Sam O'Farrell and Forde as they cantered into a quarter-final meeting with Galway next week.

    Dublin v Derry (18:30 BST)

It's proper knockout championship now for Dublin and Derry with both sides needing a victory to ensure they reach the last 12 of the All-Ireland series and advance from the 'group of death.'

Derry are yet to win a league of championship game this year after 11 attempts so they will be hoping that it is 12th time lucky.

Two draws both against Galway are all that the Oakleafers have been able to muster this year and last time out at Celtic Park they were very unlucky not leave with both points.

Paddy Tally looks set to start with the same side that started a fortnight ago against the Tribesmen with goalkeeper Odhran Lynch out of the panel despite being named with Louis Regan coming into the squad.

Derry are also bolstered by the return of defender Conor McCluskey to the panel.

It's a monumental challenge facing a Dublin side who are battling to save their season.

Dessie Farrell makes just one change to the side who lost to Armagh in Croke Park two weeks ago with John Small replacing Colm Basquel who drops off the panel completely.

Con O'Callaghan returns to the Dubs squad and his fitness could go a long way to deciding this one.

They're expecting a bumper crowd here in Pairc Esler, it could be the end of the road for one of these side and if there are to be any late changes closer to throw in we will bring them to you.

  20. All-Ireland SFC: Who needs what in final group games?published at 18:04 British Summer Time 14 June

Right, here we go then: for the last time - at least for the foreseeable future - the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship has arrived at the all-important final round of group games.

From next year, the competition will have another new guise, with the round-robin phase scrapped in favour of a new format. More on that here.

But this weekend, four teams will have their dreams of lifting the Sam Maguire Cup shattered for another year at least as 16 is whittled down to 12.

Simply put, there are eight matches this weekend: four on Saturday and four on Sunday. As it stands, holders Armagh are the only team guaranteed a spot in the All-Ireland quarter-finals.

As for the rest, a wide assortment of possibilities await. Let's get into it.

Tyrone, Donegal, Down and Derry are all hoping to join Armagh in advancing in the all-Ireland series
