  16. Tally hails Derry's 'serious heart' in draw with Galwaypublished at 13:41 Greenwich Mean Time 16 February

    Derry 0-16 Galway 1-13

When asked what pleased him most about Derry's opening Football League point of the campaign, Paddy Tally replied: "the fightback".

And small wonder, after the Derry manager watched his side fall nine points behind before staging a remarkable comeback to salvage a 0-16 to 1-13 draw against leaders Galway at Celtic Park.

"In the second half there was a lot more bite about us and the most pleasing thing was the fightback. That's serious heart, right there," said the Derry manager.

"You're nine points down and staring at your third defeat but they wouldn't lie down. So what they proved tonight is this team doesn't want to get beaten."

  20. Division Onepublished at 13:33 Greenwich Mean Time 16 February

Mayo v Tyrone, 13:45 GMT, Castlebar

After the highs of a debut win for new manager Malachy O'Rourke over Derry, Tyrone were on the receiving end against All-Ireland champions Armagh last time out losing 1-23 to 0-19 in the Athletic Grounds.

O'Rourke has made just one change from that game with Trillick's Ciaran Daly replacing Aodhan Donaghy.

So far, no sign of the returning Errigal Ciaran players, but if there are any late changes we will bring them to you.

Tyrone were hammered 4-10 to 0-12 on their last league trip to McHale Park in 2023, although defeated Mayo by four points in Omagh last year.

Mayo are under pressure after following up an opening round loss to Dublin with a heavy home defeat by Galway.

That has made the natives restless and they will demand better in front of their own in Castlebar today. Eoghan McLaughlin comes in for Sam Callinan in the only change - that we know of so far - from the Galway defeat so no panic buttons being pressed yet.

Mayo boss Kevin McStay is still missing a few key men in Jordan Flynn, Jack Carney and Aidan O'Shea while Paddy Durcan and Tommy 'goals' Conroy are among those on their way back to fitness. It remains to be seen if we see any of them make an appearance today.

Mayo: Colm Reape; Sean Morahan, Rory Brickenden, Enda Hession; Stephen Coen, David McBrien, Eoghan McLaughlin; Donnacha McHugh, Matthew Ruane; Conor Reid, Fergal Boland, Davitt Neary; Paul Towey, Frank Irwin, Ryan O'Donoghue
