It's a shame with all the good results Meath have had that they had to suffer a bit today.

Donegal seem to be hunting in packs, and then breaking forward. Donegal and Kerry is a hard one to call, it could go either way.

Man of the match Conor O'Donnell, speaking to BBC Sport: "Yeah, in the first half we weren't really ruthless but when you are playing in an All-Ireland semi-final there are a few nerves but we came out in the second half and took our goal chances.

"From being in the semi-final last year, our goal was to be back there. It's a long year when you don't get back there. For some reason Meath have went under the radar but they are a serious outfit.

"Kerry were impressive against Tyrone and it's a massive challenge ahead of us. We have two weeks of recovery and training to go now and that's all we can focus on."

A lot of people would have picked that final at the start of the year. Donegal were awesome in the second half. You have to feel for Meath, they're just not at this level yet.

Without a doubt, the best team has won. Meath surprised Donegal with their eagerness early on, but Donegal weathered the storm and had more in the tank.

Conor O'Donnell has been named as player of the match.

Not to take away from his moment but, co-commentator Mickey Harte says he would have picked Ciaran Moore who has also been superb.

Caolan McGonagle makes a brilliant block but gets no reward as the ball breaks straight to Sean Rafferty who knocks over the point.

The Meath man appears to be suffering from cramp and Daire O Baoill quickly cancels out the score.

The first sign that Donegal are pulling up before the line maybe?

Ciaran Moore was in for a second goal - perhaps even in a better position that when he earlier raised the green flags - but he settles for just the one this time.

    Conor O'Donnell - 57mins

What a second half this has been from Donegal!

Meath have to commit more men forward and as they do, Donegal simply pick them apart.

While earlier they were taking their points, here they work it for O'Donnell to have a gilt-edged goal chance.

He buries it and Donegal can start thinking about Kerry!

As Daire O Baoill comes on to replace Ryan McHugh, you're reminded of the strength in depth of this Donegal panel that Jim McGuinness has at his disposal.

As if to emphasise the point, Paddy McBrearty provides his third point since being sprung from the bench.

That's a good score, though, from Eoghan Frayne.

The skipper produces a lovely dummy and reduces the gap to 10.

Peadar Morgan is straight up the other end, however.

He lets fly and powers one over the bar.
