  1. 'It took us a while to get going' - O'Donnellpublished at 17:50 British Summer Time 28 June

    FT: Monaghan 1-20 Donegal 1-26

Man of the match Shane O'Donnell speaking to GAA+: "I think we got a big wake-up call in the first half, Monaghan came out all guns blazing but thankfully we were able to turn it around second half, we got an early free and that got us started from there. It took us a while to get going."

On the half-time team talk: "Jim (McGuinness) was brutally honest, he gave us a few harsh words which we needed, and it looked like it helped us in the second half. Everything he said we took on board and into the second half and the boys coming off the bench were a massive help."

On reaching the last four: "We're back to where we were last year, we are going to put the head down for two weeks and get the bodies right. We had a tough few weeks there so we are happy to have a few weeks off to focus on our next opponent whoever it is."
