Conor Laverty's Down squad were out on the Clones pitch a good hour and three quarters before throw-in and the players looked in good spirits and they braved a light but chilly breeze blowing across the pitch.

Speaking of chilly, I had to hightail it back to the car to pick up the winter coat or a bout of coughing would have been infecting the press box.

  5. Final four weekendpublished at 16:55 British Summer Time 27 April

    Down v Armagh (17:15 BST)

Good evening and welcome to our live text commentary of today's Ulster Championship semi-final between Down and Armagh at Clones.

Armagh produced a ruthless first-half display to beat Fermanagh 3-11 to 0-9 to reach the final four, whilst Down laboured to a 0-13 to 0-9 win against Antrim.

As a result, the Orchard County enter the game as favourites, but as we have seen so far in the Ulster Championship, that favourites tag means nothing.

The winner will face Tyrone or Donegal in the final on Sunday 12 May, with those two sides meeting tomorrow afternoon.

Thanks for joining us - enjoy!
