The Ulster Club Football Championship gets under way with an intriguing opener between two sides laden with inter-county stars.

Errigal Ciaran have had just eight days to prepare for this game since celebrating regaining the Tyrone title as they edged out holders Trillick 0-12 to 1-8 at tonight's venue Healy Park.

Darragh Canavan gets most of the headlines for Errigal Ciaran these days but it was his brother Ruairi who starred as he accounted for half of his club's Tyrone Final tally.

Other key Errigal Ciaran personnel include Tyrone players Peter Harte, Joe Oguz and Ben McDonnell.

Letterkenny club St Eunan's have had three weeks since late points from man of the match Conor O'Donnell Jr, Ciaran Moore and Eoin McGeehan helped them edge out Dungloe 1-13 to 1-10 to clinch a record 16th Donegal title.

O'Donnell hit 1-4 in the Donegal decider while other influential Eunan's players include county stars Shaun Patton, Niall O'Donnell, Shane O'Donnell and Caolan Ward.
