Scotland keep up their excellent work on the pommel horse as Frank Baines and Hamish Carter score 12.650 and 12.850 respectively and the team's overall score is 38.500, putting them second to Canada but above Wales, who scored 37.550.
Jamaica v Wales
Right now Wales, ranked eighth in the world, are getting their netball campaign started in Group A against Jamaica.
It will be a tough ask for Wales as Jamaica - known as the the Sunshine Girls - are ranked number four in the world and took the bronze medal on the Gold Coast in 2018.
Wales won just one match in that Games - the 11th place play-off against Fiji to prevent them finishing last - and will be looking to better that this time round.

Earlier, England Roses got their Commonwealth Games title defence off to a winning start with a 74-22 victory over Trinidad and Tobago.
There were Games debuts for Laura Malcolm, Sophie Drakeford-Lewis, Imogen Allison and Ellie Cardwell as head coach Jess Thirlby ran out all 12 players in her squad.
The Roses face Malawi tomorrow in their second Group B match at 14:00 BST.

The English quartet of Dan Bigham, Charlie Tanfield, Ethan Vernon and Ollie Wood never really looked like winning, despite going under the previous Commonwealth Games record with a time of three minutes 49.584 seconds.
That's an illustration of how good the Kiwis were.
Lots of emotion as Aaron Gate, Jordan Kerby, Tom Sexton and Campbell Stewart realise the magnitude of their achievement, clinching gold with a new Games record of three minutes 47.575 seconds.
Sir Chris Hoy describes their ride as "world class" and who are we to argue.

Wales were pipped to bronze in the women's team pursuit and the same fate has been suffered by the men.
Australia win the race in three minutes 50.403 seconds, finishing 3.122 seconds ahead of the Welsh.

Team Wales currently top the team standings after producing a number of brilliant routines in subdivision two earlier today. Brinn Bevan came up with a brilliant performance on the parallel bars, which you can watch above.
James Hall and Jake Jarman have got England off to an excellent start in the early stages of subdivision three, nailing their routines. Jarman scored 13.75, matching the highest score of the day.

Laura Kenny: "It's been brilliant. I don't think I have ever felt so much pressure to win a bronze medal in my life with a younger team. I was a whole bag of nerves to help them win and get a taste of medals I've had in the past.
"To be totally honest I've been the weak link in the last two rounds."
Josie Knight: "I have never felt so much pressure and you heard the crowd for Stephen Bate and I wanted that for us. I'm so proud of the way this team has come together this past week."
Maddie Leech: "It's amazing. I've never ridden with a crowd before and it definitely pushes you on when you're struggling. I had a bit of a dodgy change so very happy to take the bronze."
Sophie Lewis: "She's been amazing and we've earned from [Laura Kenny] so much on and off the bike."

Just like the action on the track, the medal ceremonies come thick and fast at the Velodrome.

England's women's team pursuit team won a bronze medal not too long ago and, just before the next medal race, they are up on the podium.
Women's hockey: Canada 4-0 Wales
It wasn't Wales' day in their opener in Pool A.
Sian French saw her first-quarter penalty stroke saved by Canadian keeper Chloe Walton, before Canada punished Wales' sloppiness with four unanswered goals.
Hannah Haughn opened the scoring with a superb solo effort in the first quarter and skipper Sara McManus netted from a penalty corner on the stroke of half-time.
In the second half Brienne Stairs scored twice as Canada cantered to their win.
