They'll have much greater challenges to come - namely New Zealand before the end of the group stage - but it's a dominant 74-22 win against Trinidad and Tobago to open their account.

Eleanor Cardwell, Laura Malcolm, Sophie Drakeford-Lewis, Layla Guscoth and Imogen Allison have all got their Commonwealths debuts out of the way in style too.

The players stay on the court after their win to wave at a joyful crowd with England flags popping up all over the place.

There is such depth in England squad - the ability to have players come on and do a job. The ball has flowed nicely through the court.

It has been relentless from England and Trinidad and Tobago have been struggling to break through but we have seen some great turnover play. But the pressure England have put on them have made it difficult to break through their wall.

When England are playing with smiles on their faces - you know they are in a good place.
