    The tape measure comes out after the end of the 12th and it's Australian duo Ellen Ryan and Kristina Krstic who get the rub of the green.

    They've now levelled the final up again at 12-12 against England pair Sophie Tolchard and Amy Pharoah.

    It's day number three of the diving and it could see gold number three for Jack Laugher.

    The England diver already has two titles from these Commonwealth Games, so can he make it a hat-trick today?

    This morning he starts the defence of his 3m springboard title in the preliminary, with the final coming up tonight.

    He's joined by England team-mates Dan Goodfellow and Jordan Houlden in the line-up, as well as Scotland's Ross Beattie, James Heatly and Cameron Gammage.

    • Scotland's world champion Jake Wightman is among the favourites in the men's 1500m;
    • England's Emily Borthwick, Laura Zialor and Morgan Lake take on the women's high jump, with Australia's newly crowned world champion Eleanor Patterson for company;
    • Jamaica's 100m champion Elaine Thompson-Herah is favourite to win her second gold in the 200m;
    • The women's 800m final could come down to England's Keely Hodgkinson or Scotland's Laura Muir and Jemma Reekie;
    • The netball semi-finals take place at 09:00 and 14:30 with defending champions England facing Australia;
    • England will face India and Australia will take on New Zealand in cricket's semi-finals at 11:00 and 18:00;
    • The men's squash doubles semi-finals begin at 18:00, as do the men's hockey semi-finals, where England men will take on holders Australia.

    England are closing in on Australia at the top of the medal table after eight days of competition.

    Australia remain in first place on the leaderboard with 50 golds and 140 medals in total, but England are catching up and now have 47 gold medals and 130 overall.

    Scotland are sixth in the standings with eight golds and a medal haul of 35.

    Wales are in ninth place (four golds, 19 medals), with Northern Ireland sitting in 15th position (one gold, 12 medals).

    Jamie-Lea Winch, Natalie Chestney and Sian Honnor beat Malaysia 17-9 to won gold in the women's triples lawn bowls final on day eight of the Commonwealth Games.

    And George Miller, 75, said he "never dreamed of being here" after becoming the oldest Commonwealth Games gold medallist when Scotland beat Wales to win the B2/B3 mixed pairs bowls.

    • Marfa Ekimova made history for England by winning their first gold medal in the rhythmic gymnastics individual all-around final;

    • England's Lizzie Bird won silver in the women's 3,000m steeplechase, while there were also bronze medals for shot putter Scott Lincoln and triple jumper Naomi Metzger;

    It's an Australia v England final in the lawn bowls women's pairs this morning with the hosts leading 7-2 after four ends.

    England’s Sophie Tolchard is looking to go one better than her brother Sam who lost in the final of the men’s pairs on Tuesday.

    The Tolchards are from sporting royalty. Aside from her brother, their grandad Tommy represented England at bowls, their dad Ray played at Wimbledon as a junior tennis player and umpired in 40 first class cricket matches.

    While uncles Roger and Jeff Tolchard, both played first-class cricket for Leicestershire and Roger featured in four Tests for England.

    Both she and partner Amy Pharoah already own Commonwealth golds –Sophie in the triples in 2014 and Amy in the pairs in 2010.

    But so does Ellen Ryan of Australia, who won a memorable singles gold earlier this week. She's playing alongside Kristina Krstic.
