    Men's featherweight

Jude Gallagher of Northern Ireland has overcome Eswatini's Zweli Comfort Dlamini to make it through to the last 16 of the men's featherweight division.

The 20-year's footwork and excellent jab helped him dominate round one.

Dlamini landed some big single shots but a fierce body shot from Gallagher in the final round saw him reassert control as he secured a unanimous win.

A Mexican Wave is breaking around the Edgbaston stands. The crowd are pretty relaxed about the outcome of this one.

    And you can understand why.

England have started at a canter. Sophia Dunkley has set about the Sri Lanka bowling with particular relish, clouting one enormous one-bounce four.

Brilliant swim by Stephen Clegg, who misses out on gold by the smallest of margins!

Literally a fingernail length difference there as Nicolas-Guy Turbide takes the gold with a time of 24.32, Stephen Clegg just 0.01s off.

Australia's Jacob Templeton takes the bronze.

    Women's artistic team final

It's a big score from Georgia-Mae Fenton on beam - a huge 13.400 on one of the most difficult apparatus to score big numbers. She was part of the group that won silver in the team event on the Gold Coast four years ago and she'll be looking to go one better this time.

Twins Jessica and Jennifer Gadirova are cheering from the stands - the Olympic bronze medallists opted not to compete in the Commonwealth Games after choosing to focus on the European Championships in August.

'Paul schooled me' - Scotland's Carlin on silver medalpublished at 19:43 British Summer Time 30 July 2022

    Men's keirin final

Scotland's Jack Carlin was not gushing with pride at his silver medal, feeling instead that he'd missed out on gold.

"I'm disappointed a little bit. I came here to win," he says.

"Nothing's ever easy in a keirin and there's a lot that goes wrong, you just have to look at the semi-finals, one of my close mates [Joe Truman] went down.

"Some of it's a lottery, some luck, some skill. You need all three to pull it off and I might have had two, but not the last one. Nicholas [Paul] was a deserving winner on that one - he absolutely schooled me.

"But tomorrow's a new day. It's all to play for again. So I'll keep the head down and wait and see."

England in control after first apparatuspublished at 19:41 British Summer Time 30 July 2022

    Women's artistic team final

Olympic bronze medallist Alice Kinsella used all her experience to keep her cool and delivered a very solid 13.650 on the uneven bars. Before that 18-year-old Ondine Achampong managed 13.750 and looked pretty pleased with herself, too.

Georgia-Mae Fenton is the reigning champion on the uneven bars and she absolutely nails her very difficult routine to score a HUGE 14.000.

Kelly Simm, competing in her third Commonwealth Games, flings round the bar and just misses the catch and falls off. She was going well until then but she's been deducted pretty heavily and it's 11.800 for her. But it doesn't matter, only the three best scores are put forward in the team event so Simm's will not count.
