    Brilliant swim!

Alice Tai takes the gold for England with a dominant swim, winning with a time of 1:13.64, four seconds quicker than new Zealand's Tupou Neiufi, who takes the silver.

A superb result for Wales too as Lily Rice wins the bronze. That's Wales first medal in the pool of these championships.

What a gutsy swim, what a brave swim from Chad le Clos. he so nearly did it but what a swim from Lewis Clareburt. The discipline from the man.

    What a race!

Chad le Clos was leading on the final stretch but tiring and New Zealand's Lewis Clareburt comes steaming through to pip the South African to the gold.

James Guy was in the silver medal position but that strong finish by Clarebut means he takes the bronze.

Scotland's Duncan Scott finishes fifth while England duo Mason Wilby and Jay Lelliott are sixth and seventh respectively.

    Men’s 200m butterfly final

Right then! Here we go with the first final of the evening in the pool and it is a big one.

Duncan Scott is going for a record-equalling 10th Commonwealth medal and if he gets it, he will become Scotland’s joint most successful athlete at the Commonwealth Games, alongside rifle shooter Alister Allan.

He’s not the only one chasing history, however. South African swimmer Chad le Clos is on the verge of becoming the most decorated Commonwealth Games athlete of all time.

He has won an incredible 17 medals across three Commonwealth Games and one more will equal the record currently jointly held by two shooters, Brit Michael Gault and Australian Phil Adams.

Add to that England’s James Guy, who won Olympic gold last year, and it is a tough field. Guy’s compatriots Jay Lelliott and Mason Wilby are also going for medals.

    Ready?
