I think it's really tough for them. they were obviously on such a high, and you have to have that downtime, you go to bed late and it wasn't a long time to turn around.

Some people thrived off that, Goodwin didn't put a foot wrong but for Alice, floor was a knock on effect for the beam.

Beam makes or breaks an all-around.

    Women's 500m time trial final

    Chris Boardman

Courageous challenge - Capewell went for it! And it certainly wasn't for want of trying.

Great start, technically excellent, just engine size really - nothing you can do about that.

She was certainly not put off by the size of the occasion or the prospect of winning.

She is quite an emotional performer - disappointing day today for Alice Kinsella.

Yesterday she was right on song and was great and she shouldn't feel so disappointed now, because she has shown the world what a world-class gymnast she is.

And just that fall on beam and it could have been gold for Ondine.

Oh no. Alice Kinsella doesn't hit the height she needs and falls in one of her floor tumbles. She has clearly lost her way a bit after that fall on beam and she scores 12.050.

What a shame for the 2018 all-around bronze medallist. She is visibly very upset as she leaves the floor.

It wasn't to be today for the 21-year-old. She finishes fourth.

Ondine is a very elegant gymnast - balletic, super leaps, lovely spin and lots of power into this last tumble, So much went into this routine.

I have watched her train a fair bit and this is the piece of apparatus she has to dig deep for.

She gave it absolutely everything - she really is a very special gymnast and I'm sure we are just seeing the start of her career.

That puts her top for now with 52.350 and she will have an anxious wait to find out where that leaves her in the overall standings once everyone else has competed.
