Laura Kenny is up next in the 25km points race. That's 100 laps of the track, with 10 sprints for which riders can win points. The rider with the most points at the end of the race wins - simples.

England's Kenny won the Commonwealth title in this event in 2014, and already has a bronze from these Games in the team pursuit.

Other athletes from the home nations in this one are England team-mates Maddie Leech and Josie Knight, Scotland's Neah Evans, Wales' Eluned King, Anna Morris and Jessica Roberts, and Northern Ireland's Alice Sharpe.

Alice Kinsella takes to the beam - she won individual gold on this apparatus in 2018.

Oh dear - now that is surprising. Kinsella goes to complete her acrobatic series but misses her mark and falls off. That has shook her up a little for the rest of the routine and there's a few wobbles on the leap landings.

It's 11.000 for the top qualifier - she looks absolutely gutted. She remains top but with most of the field yet to have their turn.

She will have it all to do on floor.

    Men's sprint semi-finals

Amid all the commotion, not sure we told you Nicholas Paul was denied victory in the first race of his semi-finals against Matthew Glaetzer after an infringement.

    Well, he was.

So if the man from Trinidad and Tobago is going to reach the final then he will have to fight back from behind.

The first task - winning race two and levelling - is successful.

Paul wins by 0.154 seconds and we will go to a decider.

Next up is Scotland's Jack Carlin who won the first race against Aussie Matt Richardson by 0.008 seconds...

BIG routine from Canada's Emma Spence on the uneven bars and she scores 12.950 to slot in at third - behind the English duo.

But hang on, Australia's Georgia Godwin bags 13.550 on the uneven bars and leapfrogs the Canadian to plonk herself in the bronze medal spot at the end of rotation two.

Only Australia's Jessica Gallagher can deny Sophie Unwin gold now.

A very quick start from Gallagher, who is looking good at the halfway stage. Can she continue this pace? You'd think so.

Yes, she does! Gallagher beats Unwin's time by 0.416 seconds, leaving the English team settling for silver.

And that means the bronze goes to Scotland and Aileen McGlynn.

The trio of Wales' Non Stanford, Sophie Linn of Australia and New Zealand's Andrea Hansen transition to 2km run, with Linn the quicker of the three.
