    Laura Scott

There has been a horrific crash at the track cycling of the Commonwealth Games.

In the second qualifying heat of the men’s scratch, there was a multi-rider crash and England’s Matt Walls flew over the barrier and into the crowd, with his bike. The morning session has been abandoned and the velodrome is being cleared of all spectators now.

Paramedics have held screens up to shield Walls, who was still being treated in the stands after half an hour.

We have seen one spectator taken away in a wheelchair covered in blood, others are in shock.
