Representing England today are twins Javier and Joarquin Bello.

They took up volleyball aged six in Madrid, where they were born, and didn't let a move to London as 11-year-olds stop them.

The Bellos train on the same sand used for London 2012 - it was shipped from Horse Guards Parade to their training ground in Wandsworth after the Games.

They won their opening match against Tuvalu 2-0 on Saturday and are up against Cyprus' Antonios Liotatis and Charalambos Zorbis today.

Perfect day for a trip to the beach.

The sun is beating down on the Smithfield beach volleyball court. Glad I brought my cap!

It has all the atmosphere of a beach bar too, with the anouncer telling fans to "think less Wimbledon, more Glastonbury" as the tunes blare out between points.

England's Javier and Joaquin Bello will be out for their match against Cyprus in about 10 minutes.

After yesterday's crash involving his England team-mate Matt Walls, the seating area in which Walls landed has been cordoned off today, as well as at the opposite side of the track.

    Men's pool A: Scotland 4-3 South Africa

End of the third quarter but this game is far from a dead rubber in terms of entertainment.

Scotland had managed turned things around with three goals in six minutes from Andrew McConnell, Alan Forsyth and Cammy Golden but South Africa's Nqobile Ntuli found an equaliser to put the quarter back on level terms at 3-3.

Just before the hooter sounded, however, up popped Struan Walker to put Scotland on the front foot once again.

    Great 15 minutes of hockey.
