Third-wicket stand leads Australia to decent totalpublished at 12:38 British Summer Time 3 August 2022
Australia 160-2 (20 overs), Pakistan yet to bat
Australia batters Beth Mooney and Tahlia McGrath had a whole heap of fun out in the middle at Edgbaston.
The pair hit boundary after boundary in the closing stages as they piled on 141 in a third-wicket partnership, taking their team to a very decent total as Australia look to clinch their spot in the semi-finals as group winners.
McGrath came to the crease with Australia on 19-2, but hit 78 off 51 balls - assisted by Mooney's 70 from 49 - to turn the early nerves into a confident finish.
Pakistan, who are bottom of the group, will have to post their biggest score of the tournament if they are to win.
