They're [Noah Williams and Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix] both known for their ability to get into the water with very little splash and that was perfect execution.

There was a little bit of difference on the synchronisation but that's a great start!

That was very nice from Aidan Heslop and Ruby Thorne.

Heslop is clearly taller so that makes matching more difficult.

I liked the synchro, very commendable.

    Men’s singles bronze medal match

Sathiyan Gnanasekaran of India takes the first game against England's Paul Drinkhall 11-9 in the men's singles bronze-medal match.

Drinkhall had saved one game point but couldn't save a second as Gnanasekaran's aggressive style sees him over the line.

These singles matches are a marathon though, with it being a best of seven affair. There's still time to come back.

There were some insane rallies in that game and the world number 48 has incredibly come out on top against the more experienced Sen.

More of that intensity please, folks.

Warnings as Scotland play for squash bronzepublished at 11:16 British Summer Time 8 August 2022

    Thomas Duncan
BBC Scotland at the Squash Centre

The umpire has just warned the players about getting in each other's way when they're playing a shot. Too much physical contact, he says.

It's testament to squash players' skill that with four of them in a small space they don't get rattled with the ball more often...

It's currently 2-2 between Scotland and Malaysia in the first game.

Now Rory Stewart gets a warning for hitting the ball out of the court.

"I didn't mean it," he shouts at the umpire, to much laughter inside the venue.

Scotland's Grace Reid and James Heatly spoke to BBC presenter Katherine Downes, fresh from winning the mixed synchronised 3m springboard final.

On winning gold after finishing fourth throughout the Games, Reid said: "It's maybe not been what I've wanted in my individual events but to come back into this and win gold today, with all of our family here just makes me speechless.

"We welcomed the expectation in today and that performance in Budapest a few weeks ago really carried us through today.

"I now need a lie down and I keep seeing people with pizza so I'm definitely having a pizza!"

On being the first ever Commonwealth Games winners of the mixed synchro event, Heatly said: "It's insane, I'm over the moon - I honestly don't know what to say to that!

"It's been tough, I'm really happy to do this with Grace though and to save all of this for the last day.

"If it becomes an event at the Olympics then we're up for it!"
