BBC Sport NI at The NECWhat a strange way for Jude Gallagher to win gold.
The NI featherweight had been due to meet Ghana's Joseph Commey in the final this evening, but Commey has withdrawn having been declared medically unfit this morning.
Gallagher's semi-final was also called off yesterday after his opponent was withdrawn 15 minutes before the opening bell.
For sure, an undeniably fortuitous route to gold, but it is worth offering a defence for Gallagher here.
Not only can he do nothing about the situation, but did also win three fights before the semis in emphatic fashion, including stopping home favourite Niall Farrell in the first round.
A bizarre end to a brilliant tournament for the Tyrone native. He takes gold though, Northern Ireland's third of the Games.

It's a home-nations thriller in the first men's doubles squash semi-final at the University of Birmingham.
Darryl Selby and Adrian Waller of England have taken the first game 11-8 against Greg Lobban and Rory Stewart of Scotland.
The English duo are Commonwealth silver medallists from 2018, while the Scots were world silver medallists earlier this year.

Mark Cavendish and the peloton are around two minutes 30 seconds behind the lead group on the road, containing Geraint Thomas and Fred Wright.
This is quickly slipping away from those in the main group. A chasing group, featuring Scotland's Mark Stewart, are 50 seconds down on the leaders.

That is better from the Roses.
A New Zealand pass goes awry with less than a minute on the clock and straight into the hands of Laura Malcolm and England manage to reward under the post and then take the ball to goal on their centre pass.
Stacey Francis-Bayman has moved to goal defence and Layla Guscoth is on the bench.
Half-time and England have got five goals to make up in the second half.

New Zealand have scored 14 goals to England's seven in this second quarter. They really just haven't got going in this bronze medal match at all.
England just need to keep their heads here - there's been a few times now that they've worked hard to get the ball back only to give it away again seconds later. It's the same issues as yesterday and they are going to need to try and turn the tables here.

BBC Sport at NEC ArenaThe NEC crowd almost sound a bit panicky now.
England beat New Zealand by a comfortable 10 goals in the group stage but it seems like they're struggling to get going again after yesterday's semi-final performance.
A long ball sails way over Eleanor Cardwell's head and off the court.

There is a lot of encouragement from the New Zealand bench happening and it is working. The Silver Ferns are quietly starting to build a lead here.
By contrast England head coach Jess Thirlby is shaking her head on the bench, the Roses just can't find the rhythm today.

The lead group of 15 riders are in charge here, increasing their advantage over the chasing group to 50 seconds.
It features nine home nations riders, including Geraint Thomas and Fred Wright among the favourites.
That group is working together, unlike the peloton which is struggling to organise and is now over two minutes down.
That's not good news for Mark Cavendish...

Wasteful from England, so wasteful. Geva Mentor does so well under the post up against Grace Nweke and puts her under enough pressure to win the ball for England.
It's not a speedy break but England work the ball down the court but a New Zealand pair of hands gets to the ball before Helen Housby's and the Silver Ferns have the chance to take it to goal.

Back underway for the second quarter and it's carrying on much in the same way as the opening 15 minutes.
One difference is that New Zealand are managing to find the space a bit easier and are playing with a little more directness and speed. England are struggling to get the ball in to the shooters at the moment.

Defending champions Liam Pitchford and Paul Drinkhall of England are going for gold once again and it’s a rematch of the 2018 final against India’s Sharanth Kamal and Sathiyan Gnanasekaran.
For Kamal, now 40, it’s a fourth successive doubles final - he won gold in 2010.
Pitchford and Drinkhall will become the first pair to retain the title if they win.
Their match follows the bronze medal tie between Chew Zhe Yu Clarence and Poh Shao Feng Ethan of Singapore and Nicholas Lum and Finn Luu of Australia.
