  3. Not outpublished at 21.2 overs

The technology suggests it would have grazed leg stump, but not hitting enough of it to have the decision overturned. De Kock is still there.

"I don't think that's going to work. It's too high and not turned much."

  5. England reviewpublished at 21.2 overs

De Kock on 89 (SA 172-3)

Moeen fancies that lbw against De Kock. It's turned down on the field but England think there might be a chance with a review.

  7. 6 runs

    SA 172-3published at 21.1 overs

De Kock goes large. Again. Moeen is pummelled over mid-wicket for another six. I feel like I've written that already today...

"He has bowled quite nicely for a while, Rashid, but suddenly he is leaking runs quite freely. I am wondering if it is time for someone else?"

  9. SA 166-3 (De Kock 83, Duminy 8)published at 21 overs

Any momentum England had disappeared in the blink of that over from Rashid, containing two fours and a three (and that thanks only to another fine piece of fielding from Stokes). South Africa fighting fire with fire.

Theo Bowyer: Stokes... A magnet in the field. Stupendous catch!

Benjamin Fox: Ben Stokes. One of the greatest catches I've ever seen.

As good as Stokes' catch off Stuart Broad at Trent Bridge? If that one was more instinct and reflexes, this was pure athletic ability and hand-eye co-ordination. Perhaps most tellingly, Stokes didn't even look that surprised that he'd held it. You won't see many better than that. Quite remarkable.

    De Villiers c Stokes b Moeen 8 (SA 151-3)

What a catch! A blinder! A scorcher! Guess who? Ben Stokes of course. De Villiers lifts Moeen to long-on, where Stokes charges to his right and plucks the ball out of the air with one hand. He was traveling, and the ball had gone past him. How on earth has he held on to that? Answers on a postcard please because I don't have a clue.

  17. SA 147-2 (target 400)published at 19 overs

Good over for South Africa. Very good over. Four leg-byes as Rashid drifts down leg, De Kock - in imperious form - drives for four over mid-off, then sweeps for another, albeit thanks to a misfield in the deep. De Kock has 77 off only 54 balls.

  19. SA 133-2published at 18 overs

Remember, we need 20 overs before messrs Duckworth and Lewis can have a say in this game. South Africa need 36 off the next two overs to reach the 20-over par score. No wonder Adil Rashid is jogging to the start of his mark. England in a hurry.
