Today, Eoin Morgan's men take on South Africa in Cape Town in the first of two T20s.
England's new-found attacking approach to the shorter forms of the game should make them a far more formidable opponent in next month's tournament than they were in the last global event in which they (barely) took part. But we won't talk about that.
This game will give us a good gauge of where they stand.
