It's a night to forget for Gloucestershire then, who will have to wait for at least another year for their first ever, elusive T20 Blast title.

But Durham are overjoyed as they travel back up north having won an away knock-out tie for the first time since 2008.

Glamorgan host Yorkshire in the fourth quarter-final tomorrow night - do be sure to return for that one.

But until then, thanks for joining me for this one. Good night.

What a mess for Gloucestershire that was, despite Jack Taylor's spirited 80 from 41 balls, which made that chase fun to watch for a while.

Durham join Nottinghamshire and Northants at the T20 Blast Finals Day. They are delighted!

Could the North teams dominate the competition's finale?

Durham, who were fourth in the North Group, have knocked out the South Group winners.

WICKET Tye (run out 4)published at 21:19 British Summer Time 10 August 2016

    Gloucestershire 156-9 (18.2 overs) v Durham 180-5

Another run out sees Gloucestershire staring at defeat.

Matt Taylor comes out to join brother Jack in the middle...they'll have to be the heroes or the hosts are heading out. Durham need just one more wicket.

  5. Gloucestershire 154-8 (18.0 overs) v Durham 180-5published at 21:18 British Summer Time 10 August 2016

The hosts didn't meet the required run rate in that over, despite a four from Jack Taylor, who is now on 76 from just 38 balls.

27 more runs are needed from the final two overs.

  6. Gloucestershire 145-8 (17.0 overs) v Durham 180-5published at 21:15 British Summer Time 10 August 2016

The hosts need 36 runs from 18 balls, but simply can't lose more than one wicket.

That's the situation, folks. Are we about to see some real drama? Or have Durham got this in the bag?

  7. wicket

    WICKET Grieshaber (c & b Rushworth 9)published at 21:11 British Summer Time 10 August 2016

    Gloucestershire 136-8 (16.2 overs) v Durham 180-5

Durham halt Gloucestershire's recovery as Patrick Grieshaber hits it high, high, high.....and is caught by bowler Chris Rushworth.

The 45-run eighth-wicket partnership is over.

Durham are two wickets away from reaching Finals Day.

  8. Gloucestershire 136-7 (16.0 overs) v Durham 180-5published at 21:10 British Summer Time 10 August 2016

Scott Borthwick sees out that over with far less drama than we saw in the first four balls of it.... but Durham still managed to concede 20 runs in that over.

    Could that change this game?

  9. 50 runs

    50 for Taylor - Collingwood banned!published at 21:08 British Summer Time 10 August 2016

    Gloucestershire (16.0 overs) v Durham 180-5

Are Durham throwing this away? Jack Taylor hits a big six to move to 55 from 27 balls.

Paul Collingwood concedes another no ball - now the umpire bans him!

18 runs conceded in four balls...that could prove to be expensive! The hosts have a lifeline.

  10. Ooopspublished at 21:05 British Summer Time 10 August 2016

    Gloucestershire 122-7 (15.3 overs) v Durham 180-5

Paul Collingwood comes in to bowl....but he's given away six runs with a disastrous no ball. A gift for Gloucestershire.

  11. Gloucestershire 112-7 (15.0 overs) v Durham 180-5published at 21:02 British Summer Time 10 August 2016

No boundaries in the 15th over. Jack Taylor has moved up to 42 and Patrick Grieshaber is on 7.

The required run rate is more than 13.5 an over. Surely, with just three wickets remaining, Gloucestershire can't win this from here?

  16. wicket

WICKET Howell (c Stoneman b Jennings 12)published at 20:40 British Summer Time 10 August 2016

    Gloucestershire 61-6 (10.5 overs) v Durham 180-5

It's an easy catch. 61-6 says it all really. Durham are making this look so, so easy.

Gloucestershire need to dig deep now to avoid a major embarrassment.

  17. Gloucestershire 54-5 (10.0 overs) v Durham 180-5published at 20:39 British Summer Time 10 August 2016

Another one goes! Graeme van Buuren is caught in the deep at long on.

Durham are definitely on one tonight! Are they heading for a semi-final? It certainly looks that way.
