It was a nice little cameo here as well tonight with three fours and a six in that knock.

  2. wicket

WICKET Ronchi (b Wagg) 28published at 4.5 overs

    Leicestershire 49-2

Danger and dismissed for Glamorgan and Graham Wagg is the man who's come on to claim the big wicket of Luke Ronchi.

The New Zeland international swipes across the line and is bowled by a smart slower ball from the left-armer.

  3. 6 runs

    Leicestershire 44-1published at 4 overs

    Ronchi 27, Cosgrove 4

First six of the night and it's come from the bat of Luke Ronchi with a massive straight maximum off Michael Hogan.

Leicestershire motoring here in the Powerplay. Mark Cosgrove is also off and running with a sweetly-timed pull for four.

  4. 'The perfect yorker'published at 18:43 British Summer Time 23 August 2017

    James Taylor
Ex-England batsman on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

Delport was beat for pace, beat for length - it was a perfect yorker right on the popping crease.

It's obviously a ploy they've gone for because he's bowled at least three and Michael Hogan was targeting them earlier.

  5. Leicestershire 28-1published at 3 overs

    Ronchi 16, Cosgrove 0

Earlier in that over it was boundary time again for Luke Ronchi with another four off Marchant de Lange. Slashed stroke down to third man as he gives himself room outside leg.

Mark Cosgrove is the new man in for the Foxes and he nearly chips one into the waiting hands of extra cover.

The ball just drops short and the big Australian survives.

  6. wicket

WICKET Delport (b de Lange) 10published at 2.5 overs

    Leicestershire 28-1

Beaut of a ball from Marchant de Lange to bag the first wicket of the night.

Cameron Delport is cleaned up for pace and swing with a marvellous yorker that shatters his stumps.

Glamorgan off and running with the ball.

  7. Leicestershire 21-0published at 2 overs

    Delport 10, Ronchi 9

Aussie seamer Michael Hogan shares the new white ball for the hosts from the Cathedral Road End.

Luke Ronchi steals a quick single in the infield and Colin Ingram throws and misses at the stumps. Probably out with a direct hit.

Cameron Delport gets hit first boundary with a lofted shot down the ground that just trickles over the rope before following it up with a neat steer down to third man for four more.

  8. 'Ronchi doesn't need to get his eye in'published at 18:35 British Summer Time 23 August 2017

    James Taylor
Ex-England batsman on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

Luke Ronchi doesn't need time to get himself in, get his eye in or get the pace of the surface.

He gets that strong base of his and uses exceptional hands and timing to go through the ball.

  9. Leicestershire 10-0published at 1 over

    Ronchi 7, Delport 1

Luke Ronchi gets off and running with a nice flick off his legs for a couple and then a four from a free hit to the deep mid-wicket rope after Cameron Delport banged one in too short.

A round 10 off the first set of six deliveries for the Foxes.

Leicestershire T20 captain Clint McKay hopes his side's four-game winning run can give them the momentum to secure a place at T20 Blast Finals Day.

The Foxes are looking to return to Finals Day for the first time since winning the trophy in 2011.

"To win four in a row gives us confidence at Cardiff," McKay told BBC Radio Leicester.

"We always believed we have a very good team and if we turn up and play our best we can beat anyone, as we showed throughout the group stage."

Leicestershire set the early pace in the North Group with four straight victories, but they lost the next five to leave them needing four wins to qualify.

"Going into the last four we knew it was do-or-die, so the boys went out and played with freedom.

"We know we've got a quality squad and some exciting young guys coming through, so it's great for them to know we can beat anybody on our day."

David Miller's a man who's clocked up a fair few air miles this week just to feature in this evening's quarter-final for Glamorgan.

The batsman has flown overnight to be in south Wales after playing for South Africa A yesterday in Potchefstroom against India A.

Miller made just 13 and 18 in the second unofficial Test earlier this week, so he'll hope the red-eye flight back from Johannesburg was all worth it.
