I've had the fortune to commentate on some fairly remarkable sporting moments in the past six years. Mitch Marsh carting England for 179 in a partnership of 291 is up there.

When he came out to bat someone on the TV said he was the worst number six in the history of Australian cricket...

If this was our social five-a-side football game we would stop and swap players. "Joe and Moeen you go on theirs, Steve and Nathan you come on ours."

We've all seen some hammerings down under down the years. The worst thing about this display is that (whisper it) I'm not sure that this Australia XI is even that good.

    Compared to the 90s anyway.

It's a good job we got rid of timeless Tests. These two would still be batting when the County Championship starts up again in April.

    Malan the danger man!

DM - Danger Man Dawid Malan!

Get him opening the bowling next time. He induces a first false shot from Steve Smith for about 75 overs as the Aussie captain clips a leading edge back towards Malan.

    It just doesn't quite carry.

Stuart Broad is 0-112 from 28 overs. There are seven overs left in the day, can Mitch get his 200 in a day?

Why wasn't Malan bowling before? This is what you want, somebody who tosses it up and gets them slogging.
