That's David Warner's weakness. A replica of his first-innings dismissal with one crucial difference. He didn't nick it.

A tempter from James Anderson just outside off stump and Warner just dangles his bat making no real attempt to score runs. The ball misses the edge by about an inch.

That wicket has woken the England fans back up. They applaud Anderson's efforts.

Alastair Cook has been on the field for an entire Test match twice: against India at Edgbatson in 2011 (scored 294) and against West Indies at Edgbaston in 2017 (scored 243).

Moeen continues and David Warner gets an early single to bring the under pressure Usman Khawaja onto strike. All the talk was that he can't play off-spin at the start of this series but that has died down a little.

Khawaja successfully comes forward and prods back to the bowler. With the ball reversing that might be Moeen's last over for a while.

Boos for Usman Khawaja. The Barmies think he pulled a fast one yesterday. Then the song "same old Aussies, always cheating".

I wonder if it's worth England turning to Jimmy Anderson because it is just starting to reverse swing.

  7. Aus 51-1published at 16 overs

Usman Khawaja is the new batsman and he is booed to the crease by the England fans after his controversial catch of Stuart Broad in the England innings. Is that inside edge a sign the ball is starting to move? The replays show it might be.

    Big spell coming up.

England bowling for the drag-ons! It's the fourth one in this match. England will have just started to get a bit concerned by the way Bancroft was playing.

    Bancroft b Woakes 27 (Aus 51-1)

    Bowled him!!

It's yet another drag on. A ball after clipping through the leg-side for four to bring up the Aussie 50, Cameron Bancroft lunges forward and the ball hits the inside edge and goes back onto middle stump.

A big shout of "come on" from the bowler Chris Woakes. He is pumped.

Not much spin for Moeen. As his troubles continue in this series our expectations of his bowling continue to fall. Does it ever get to a point that that is an advantage to Moeen? We do hear he struggles when he's expected to bowl a team out.

Three runs in the over. All singles. Two to Bancroft and one to Warner.

Interesting. After bowling just 12 overs in the first innings, we're going to see Moeen Ali bowl early in this innings.

  13. Aus 44-0published at 14 overs

    Bancroft 21, Warner 23

Umpire S Ravi is having another chat with England captain Joe Root as this drinks break comes to an end. They may well be chatting about the lunch menu but I'll take an educated guess that it is about England's attempts to rough up the ball.

Chris Woakes is bowling really accurately in this spell. He may not look massively threatening but he is keeping the runs down as England wait for the ball to start reversing.

A third maiden from his five overs.

Shot! Tom Curran provides Warner with the width he has been desperate for and the Australian takes full advantage by driving to the extra cover fence.

Now Bancroft repeats the trick. This is a straighter boundary, right through the legs of the bowler. 11 runs from the over.

That's going to be drinks after an hour of this innings. An excellent start for Australia. All three results are looking possible in this match.

Australia legend Glenn McGrath will be taking your questions during the lunch interval at 01:30 GMT.

Want to get inside the mind of one of the greatest bowlers in history? Wondering how he would bowl on a pitch like this? Or are you just interested in what he got for Christmas?

Send your questions to tms@bbc.co.uk or tweet to @bbctms.

That was a good dummy by James Vince - Stuart Broad wasn't expecting it at all.

  18. Aus 33-0published at 12 overs

Deary me. James Vince has just dummied the ball in the outfield, running as if he was going to field it in the covers before leaving it. He and Stuart Broad are not on the same wavelength and the ball runs into the deep, allowing Warner to collect three.

The type of thing that if it happened in the previous matches would have resulted in wild cheers from the home fans.

  19. Aus 30-0published at 11 overs

We had a few concerned texters earlier. Have any more England fans started to get a sinking feeling after this solid start from Australia? It was never going to be easy of course - England's innings lasted 144.1 overs.

What a match Stuart Broad is having. Wickets then runs and now a full-length diving stop at mid-off to prevent Warner collecting a boundary. The umpires are having a word with Joe Root, Jimmy Anderson and Broad. Perhaps about their persistent throws into the pitch.

If this is still a day 2 pitch then that would be good for England. They took 7 Aussie wickets on day 2, Glenn.

Can Glenn McGrath stop being such a charming, affable, witty and pleasant chap on commentary? It is messing with my cognitive dissonance from when he was a player.
