  9. Lightning go through on "slow snot-heap"published at 18:23 British Summer Time 24 August 2018

Result: Lancashire beat Kent by six wickets

Not my words - the words of Kent captain Sam Billings.

The batsman wasn't too happy with the pitch at Canterbury as his side only made 133-9 and lost by six wickets in Thursday's first quarter-final.

"The only time we come unstuck is on slow, snot-heaps like that - so it's just hugely frustrating if I'm being honest," Billings said.

Let's hope we get a wicket with a bit more pace at Chester-le-Street then.

The news from the middle is that Durham have won the toss and chosen to bat first.

It looks like Ben Stokes is going to open for the Jets.

    Here are the two teams...

Durham Jets: Stokes, Clark, Latham (c), Collingwood, Smith, Davies, Poynter (wk), Wood, Rimmington, Rushworth, Whitehead.

Sussex Sharks: Salt, Wright (c), Evans, Rawlins, Wiese, Burgess (wk), Archer, Jordan, Beer, Briggs, Mills.

Durham Jets v Sussex Sharks (18:30 BST)

Yep, Ben Stokes is back for the Jets - although the 27-year-old will play solely as a batsman as he nurses a knee problem.

Sussex have plenty of star names themselves including a formidable pace trio of Tymal Mills, Chris Jordan and Jofra Archer.

Thankfully the weather is clear and we're due to get under way in about 15 minutes.

Good evening and welcome to the second of this year's T20 Blast quarter-finals.

Last night's match may have failed to ignite, but we've got plenty of star power to fuel the flames at Chester-le-Street.

    Including this man...
