Oh. There doesn't seem to be a spike as the ball passes the bat.
That means the ball turned off the pitch to slip.

Anything could have happened out of the rough mark.
And now Matthew Wade has nicked Joe Root through to Ben Stokes!
Up goes the finger but Wade sends it upstairs.

Well bowled, Stuart Broad. His good summer continues.

Cummins looks in disbelief.
Cummins c Bairstow b Broad 9 (Aus 244-7)
Stuart Broad might well have settled some nerves there.
Broad pitches it full, hitting the rough and the ball does a bit as Pat Cummins aims a big drive at it.
A thin nick through to Jonny Bairstow and given.
Cummins thinks about the review and has a long chat with Matthew Wade but opts against it.
Matthew Wade gets off Nelson by carving out to deep point for a single.

111 for Wade is now his highest score, beating the 110 he scored at Edgbaston.

That extra half hour is available, but I don't think Australia will take it tonight...
Stuart Broad sends down a short ball that Matthew Wade swivels behind square leg for four.
The last 40 runs or so have been disappointing from an England perspective.

That dropped catch nearly hit the helmet. Five runs for a dropped catch would rub salt into the wounds.

It went very quickly.
A catch goes down a ball later! It would have been stunning from Ben Stokes high above his head at slip. It hits his forearm and falls to the ground.

Bairstow had an excellent stumping earlier. That bounced a bit. It climbed. He couldn't get the gloves down in time. It wasn't entirely straight-forward.
Jonny Bairstow should have had the final say against Matthew Wade but has missed the stumping.
Joe Root flights it up and Wade skips down but misses it.
The ball bounces and Bairstow can't gather it cleanly, taking it up near his neck so he can't get it down to the stumps in time as Wade gets back.
Joe Root gives up a two and a four with two short balls to start the over.
Sloppy.
Glenn McGrath

Brilliant effort from Wade. He has had to absorb a bit of pressure on a day four pitch. He shows what it meant to him.

Wade has vaulted the stumps! He has played very well. It has been an entertaining innings.
Matthew Wade walks down the pitch and across his stumps to work the ball behind square for an easy single and there it is!
A supreme act of resistance by Wade to bring up his fourth Test century and his second of the series.
A big celebration, warmly applauded and the Aussie players raise their arms on the balcony.
Wade clips it to mid-on. No run.
