  1. Aus 155-2published at 30 overs

    Target 353

Kuldeep now finds his length with his left-arm wrist spin. Steve Smith blocks a forward defensive and it's cheered by the India supporting crowd.

The Spice Girls were on tour the first time the last time ODI cricket was played cricket like this.

That sums Australia's innings up. There's only one fielder out there and they picked him out.

  3. Aus 154-2published at 29.1 overs

Kuldeep Yadav is back and starts with a long-hop. Khawaja picks out the boundary fielder. That just about sums it up.

That shot shows Steve Smith is under a little bit of pressure. He knows he needs to get on with it now. That was just a hack.

  5. Aus 153-2published at 29 overs

    Target 353

Steve Smith is now swinging his bat with a bit more ferocity but is not finding the middle of his bat.

Usman Khawaja then chips one back off the leading edge but it goes over the head of Yuzvendra Chahal. Chahal is not the tallest. Had that been Pakistan's Shaheen Afridi then he would have taken it in front of his nose.

Three more dots in Chahal's over.

Great stop. We've seen some wonderful fielding from both sides today.

  7. Aus 149-2published at 28 overs

    Need 204 to win

Steve Smith finally does look for the boundary in this over but KL Rahul does excellently to prevent the boundary on the rope.

Both sides have fielded well today.

    Five from another boundary-less over.

I think this run chase is showing you Australia haven't got the squad right and they haven't got the XI right.

    One, dot, one...

Does this count as a 'big wicket' when Warner was plodding along like he was?

  12. Aus 144-2published at 27 overs

    Required run rate 9.09

Steve Smith tries to sprint three but, even with a fumble, Usman Khawaja turns it down. As Geoff Lemon points out on TMS, Smith was close to lapping Khawaja. He was halfway down for the third when Khawaja was running the second. Khawaja is not the quickest.

Uzzie then follows that with a solid forward defensive without the hint of trying to score a run. Odd.

It's all very sticky out there.

Steve Smith is the glue and Usman Khawaja is the glue too.

Much more of this is needed...

More than a big score, you need someone to get a fast score.

  17. Aus 139-2published at 26 overs

    Smith 34 (34), Khawaja 2 (4)

The problem for Australia - or should I say one of their many problems - is that Usman Khawaja will now eat up more deliveries as he tries to get himself in.

This has been a strange effort from them. Yesterday we saw something similar from Bangladesh against England when chasing 387 but that came after they lost two early wickets.

The Aussies must be backing themselves to smash 120 from the final 10 overs.

56 from 84 balls and a sizeable hand in running out Aaron Finch. David Warner's probably had better days.

    Thanks Tom.

Australia were actually not that fair off the DLS score before that wicket. They have fallen much further back now due to that wicket.

They need 219 runs required from 150 balls.

  20. Aus 134-2published at 25 overs

Usman Khawaja is the new man as Steve Smith nicks a single to complete the over.

We have reached the halfway stage of Australia's innings so it's time for me to hand over to Matthew Henry to see you through to the conclusion.
