Well said, enjoy it while you can Andy - days like this don't come along too often if you support England. Four more to Jason Roy who is strolling to another century here...

A group of us used to go to the cricket loads as one of us somehow always managed to get tickets. He sadly passed away suddenly the other week aged only 42. His funeral was the day of the Eng v Aus group match. A glum affair all round. I do hope he's somewhere looking down on this one. A pint in one hand, tms radio in the other. It's what he would've wanted.

    Joe Root's strike-rate is 300! That was a gift.

That was a nasty delivery. Joe Root did well to get it down to fine leg.

    Target 224

Great ball first up for Joe Root, a bouncer at his eyebrows and Root gloves it for four - could easily have been out. Not the Aussies' day.

Four more! Leg side again, tickled away for a boundary. Tradition dictates that England should still find a way to make a hash of this but instead Joe Root clubs a beauty of a four square of the wicket.

That is a record wicket for Mitchell Starc. It is his 27th and sees him overtake Glenn McGrath's record of 26 in a World Cup.

Such an odd spectacle to the uninitiated isn't it really, cricket?

Brilliant day out for all - apart from the Australians.
