    Thursday night at Trent Bridge had all the ingredients to be a firecracker of a game with two very exciting looking line-ups for both Notts Outlaws and Middlesex.

    In the end - it was the Outlaws who were the runaway winners as both Alex Hales and Chris Nash knocked off the 161 required on their own with more than three overs to spare.

    Essex Eagles beat Lancashire Lightning by six wickets

    Wednesday night saw the first T20 Blast quarter-final as Essex upset the form book by beating Lancashire in a low-scoring thriller.

    Lancashire looked like they'd done enough to defend just 159-5 as the game entered the closing stages, but up stepped Ravi Bopara and Ryan ten Doeschate with a six-hitting blitz that stole the show and sent Essex through to Finals Day by six wickets.
