No huge surprises so far, I think you'll agree.

This is where there may be some outrage...

He's also pretty special with and without the gloves on...

But, like Jason Roy, it's Buttler's power, his invention, his audacity that make him stand out.

He has got the highest strike-rate (119.83) of anyone to score 2,000 runs since making his debut and he has hit the fifth most sixes behind Rohit Sharma, Eoin Morgan, Chris Gayle and Martin Guptil - again, all players who bat higher up the order.

Arguably the first name on the team sheet for me. Jos Buttler can take a game away from anyone in a matter of balls, he is that special.

His average for a keeper in ODI cricket is superb and since making his debut in 2012 he's the 22nd top-run scorer in the format. He's only behind Quinton de Kock, Kumar Sangakarra, Mushfiqur Rahim and MS Dhoni, keeper-wise, in that time - and it's worth bearing in mind that three of them bat significantly higher up the order than Buttler.

Ben, if you're reading, I know you're going to say you misjudged that catch but to pull it off, spectacular.

To add to all that, he can do things like this...

It's not hard to see why 93% of you picked him.

I feel like Ben Stokes' stats are only going one way at the moment. His batting average is going up and his bowling average is going down. That's exactly what you want from your all-rounder.

He made his ODI debut in 2011 (can you believe that?!), and he is England’s sixth highest run-scorer and seventh highest wicket-taker in that time.

He slots in for us at number five, where he has played 50 of his 81 ODIs and averages 49.77 in comparison to his career average of 40.63.

Once again, England's World Cup hero and Wisden Cricketer of the Year for 2019 is the most voted for player.

He features in over 38,500 of the almost 41,000 teams we've got.

    No surprises up next...

Since his ODI debut in 2010, Kane Williamson has scored the fifth most runs in the format behind Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, the now-retired Hashim Amla and compatriot Ross Taylor.

He also gives us a handy off-spin option - he's taken 37 wickets at 35.41 in his career.

  15. Postpublished at 12:37 British Summer Time 17 June 2020

I've just realised that by announcing Kane Williamson as the captain at this point, I've probably let it out of the bag that Eoin Morgan is among the big-name casualties...

  16. Postpublished at 12:35 British Summer Time 17 June 2020

We didn't ask you to pick a captain, so just like in the Test XI we're going to nominate Kane Williamson to do that job for us. A calm head, who leads by example with the bat.

Anyway, back to the final team. It's time for the captain...

  19. Postpublished at 12:31 British Summer Time 17 June 2020

Sorry Hamish, we can't let you have Alex Hales.

We wanted the final team to be current players only and seeming he hasn't played an ODI for the last 15 months, Hales doesn't meet that criteria in our eyes.

Hamish Arnold: I would've had Alex Hales over either of these openers, but I guess Finch and Sharma will do.
