    Glamorgan (203 & 248-8) trail Warwickshire by 83 (186 & 347-7 dec)

Oliver Hannon-Dalby, Warwickshire's leading wicket taker in the Bob Willis Trophy, is getting it to move straight away.

Five slips in place, no fielders in the deep so decent shots are going to the boundary.

The Bears won't care one bit. Nine runs from the over.

Lancashire beat Derbyshire by 178 runs

High praise for those two young Lancashire spinners we just mentioned from one of the county's former twirlers no less...

A bit more below on the story we mentioned earlier that Northamptonshire will be able to play their T20 Blast fixture against Gloucestershire on Friday despite one of their squad testing positive for coronavirus.

  8. Not outpublished at 17:51 British Summer Time 9 September 2020

    Glamorgan (203 & 238-8) trail Warwickshire by 93 (186 & 347-7 dec)

Liam Norwell takes the old ball for one over to loosen up before the new one is available.

A huge appeal off his first delivery but it was always sliding down. Good start to the over.

  9. Postpublished at 17:48 British Summer Time 9 September 2020

    Glamorgan (203 & 236-8) trail Warwickshire by 95 (186 & 347-7 dec)

A Ryan Sidebottom over is safely navigated. One over to go until the new ball.

  10. Postpublished at 17:44 British Summer Time 9 September 2020

    Glamorgan (203 & 222-8) trail Warwickshire by 109 (186 & 347-7 dec)

Another Alex Thompson over and a half chance for Rob Yates at short leg.

It falls short of the Warwickshire opener though.

Nervy times for Glamorgan, seven overs left.

  11. Postpublished at 17:40 British Summer Time 9 September 2020

    Glamorgan (203 & 221-8) trail Warwickshire by 110 (186 & 347-7 dec)

Eight overs to go, five of them potentially with the new ball.

Timm van der Gugten (0) and Lukas Carey (1) are the two men in.

Can Warwickshire grab an unlikely win on Ian Bell's final red-ball appearance?

  12. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:37 British Summer Time 9 September 2020

    Douthwaite c Burgess b Sidebottom 13 (Glamorgan 203 & 220-8 v Warwickshire 186 & 347-7 dec)

    And there's the eighth wicket!

Glamorgan are collapsing and there's now two new men in at the crease as Dan Douthwaite edges to Michael Burgess off Ryan Sidebottom.

  13. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:32 British Summer Time 9 September 2020

    Cullen lbw b Thomson 26 (Glamorgan 203 & 220-7 v Warwickshire 186 & 347-7 dec)

    Hang on!

There's the breakthrough. Spinner Alex Thomson gets the wicket of Tom Cullen.

New man Timm van der Gugten is immediately surrounded by five Bears fielders.

    56 balls left to survive.

  14. Postpublished at 17:32 British Summer Time 9 September 2020

    Glamorgan (203 & 220-6) trail Warwickshire by 111 (186 & 347-7 dec)

Ten overs left, we'll get them all in.

Warwickshire will finish third in the central group not matter the result. I can't see Glamorgan getting 11 an over.

Dan Douthwaite (13) and Tom Cullen (26) look very comfortable at the crease.

It seems like these two sides are going to stay winless through the Bob Willis Trophy campaign.

JohnnyC: Notts achieved 35 bonus points - comfortably more than any other team in the competition. Yet didn't win a match. Bad game management? Lack of bottle? Whichever way, another bitterly disappointing season.

Notts still without a win in first-class red-ball cricket stretching back to June 2018.

  16. Postpublished at 17:24 British Summer Time 9 September 2020

    Glamorgan (203 & 210-6) trail Warwickshire by 121 (186 & 347-7 dec)

We've got 12 overs to go at Sophia Gardens. The new ball will be available with five overs left.

I'd suggest giving Ian Bell a bowl. He's got career-best figures of 4-4 in first-class cricket.

  17. Lancs help out Yorks - No seriously!published at 17:17 British Summer Time 9 September 2020

    Lancashire (219 & 356-6 dec) beat Derbyshire (195 & 202)

By the way that win for Lancashire, coupled with Yorkshire's 10-wicket win over Leicestershire earlier today, means the White Rose county leapfrogs Derbyshire to top the North Group.

It's all of little significance though as their final points tally of 87 was short of Essex's 90 and Somerset's 97.

So, one last match remaining then at Sofia Gardens.

Can Ian Bell round off his first-class career by helping Warwickshire to a last-gasp victory?

  19. Nottinghamshire draw with Durhampublished at 17:09 British Summer Time 9 September 2020
    Breaking

    Nottinghamshire (422 & 82-1) draw with Durham (294 & 329)

That's it - they've decided to shake hands at Trent Bridge with just over seven overs still to bowl.

It was getting up to 14 an over required for the hosts after Peter Trego departed and in the end, it's that last-wicket stand between Brydon Carse and Ben Raine for Durham that lasted long enough to just put it out of Notts reach.

Nottinghamshire draw with Durham and that concludes all the matches in the North Group.

  20. wicket

Lancashire beat Derbyshire by 178 runspublished at 17:03 British Summer Time 9 September 2020

    Lancashire (219 & 356-6 dec) beat Derbyshire (195 & 202)

Danny Lamb takes the wicket of Mattie McKiernan who falls leg before for a valiant 55.

The stars on day four though were young Lancashire spinners Jack Morley and Tom Hartley who made 4-62 and 3-79 respectively.

Derbyshire came into this fixtures with hopes of a Lord's final. But they were outclassed by their opponents at Aigburth.
