Bob: I see the England way is going strong with Burns, Crawley and Pope all out edging behind... At least nobody has opened with a spinner!
Browne c Libby b Barnard 26 (Essex 57-2 v Worcestershire)
Essex lose their second wicket and Nick Browne rather gifts away his innings with a loose drive through the covers.
Jake Libby takes a smart low catch at pace off the bowling of Ed Barnard and Browne departs for 26.
That brings Dan Lawrence out to the middle to join Tom Westley (13 not out).
Yorkshire v Glamorgan 67-3
A first bowl of the game at Headingley for new permanent Yorkshire off-spinner Dom Bess.
The England international previously spent time on loan with the White Rose but has made the switch north longer-term during the winter.
Cetainly a lot cooler than his last competitive outing with the ball in Ahmedabad during England's Test series in India recently.
Group 3 update
It's definitely been a morning for the bowlers in Yorkshire's group.
Kent have now lost Joe Denly for just one to fall to 39-3 against Northants.
Sussex are 40-3 at Old Trafford against Lancashire but opener Tom Haines is battling. He's 31 not out.
Middlesex 79-2 v Somerset
There's the first half-century of the season and it's Middlesex opener Sam Robson raising his bat.
He gets there with an eighth four of this rapid innings - a tickle off the hip off Lewis Gregory.
It's only taken the right-hander 58 balls. Impressive stuff.
The 31-year-old has also gone past 10,000 first-class runs in this innings.
Yorkshire v Glamorgan 66-3
Yorkshire have been immaculate in the field and with the ball so far this morning until now.
Tom Kohler-Cadmore spills a chance to take a catch at first slip off Duanne Olivier as Kiran Carlson survives.
He makes them pay off the next couple of delivieries with back-to-back boundaries as Glamorgan's rebuild continues.
Pope c Scott b Shaw 22 (Gloucestershire v Surrey 48-3)
That's a loose shot from England batsman Ollie Pope.
Josh Shaw flings in a wide delivery outside off stump, Pope throws the bat at it and is caught at point.
He punches his bat in frustration.
Group 1 update
Runs proving tough to come by at Edgbaston where Derbyshire are battling their way through against some testing Warwickshire bowling.
They're 28-3 from 19 overs as Luis Reece and Wayne Madsen try and maintain a rearguard.
Meanwhile, Durham continuing to rebuild at Trent Bridge against Nottinghamshire.
Alex Lees and David Bedingham have added 57 so far for the third wicket to take them to 62-2.
Middlesex 69-2 v Somerset
The runs have dried up for Middlesex.
Three maidens in a row as Marchant de Lange and Lewis Gregory reclaim a bit of control for Somerset.
Very much an even morning at Lord's.

Marcelo Bielsa's Powerpoint: Feels mildly unfair that your reward for removing Burns and Stoneman for 12 is to have Hashim Amla and Ollie Pope walk out
And they're doing okay. Amla has 14, Pope 20, and Surrey have recovered slightly to 46-2 in Bristol.
Nottinghamshire v Durham 49-2
Martin Emmerson
BBC Radio Newcastle at Trent Bridge
Durham have recovered after a wobbly start, which is customary in early season.
In the fifth over Michael Jones was caught in the slips, at the second attempt by Haseeb Hameed (pictured above).
He got a 12th ball duck to go with his 20th ball duck here last year. And in the same over Scott Borthwick fell lbw to a yorker from Jake Ball and also walked off scoreless.
Alex Lees and David Bedingham have since formed a partnership and Durham have gone from five for two to 39 for two.
It's chilly but the sun is attempting to shine at Trent Bridge.
Crawley c Rossington b Berg 14 (Northants v Kent 36-2)
England batsman Zak Crawley is out cheaply.
The tall right-hander pushes loosely at a ball outside off stump from Gareth Berg and snicks it to the keeper.
Crawley trundles back for just 14 as Joe Denly comes out to replace him.
Yorkshire v Glamorgan 51-3
Glamorgan trying to rebuild after a testing first hour at Headingley.
Billy Root (18 not out) and Kiran Carlson (9 not out) trying to forge some sort of partnership after they were reduced to 29-3 by some very probing Yorkshire bowling.
Billy's brother Joe watches on meanwhile from the Yorkshire slip cordon as he plays a lovely pull shot for four off Duanne Olivier to bring up Glamorgan's 50.
Ollie Pope and Zak Crawley are both in the middle at the moment for Surrey and Kent respectively.
Pope has 19, with Surrey 43-2 at Gloucestershire.
Crawley is on 14. Kent are 36-1 at Northants.

James: Welcome back county cricket! 17 wickets to fall in the first hour!
Gubbins lbw b Davey 21 (Middlesex 62-2 v Somerset)
Middlesex have been rattling along at more than five an over but they now lose a second wicket.
Josh Davey smacks Nick Gubbins on the pad from around the wicket and the left-hander is sent on his way.

Dr Bruce Burton: Could be a big year for Jake Ball at Notts. If he does well I've a good feeling we'll win a game this season (unlike 2019 and 2020)
Group 3 update
Lancashire's bowlers aren't giving anything away at Old Trafford. Tom Bailey and Saqib Mahmood have picked up a wicket each in their opening six-over spells and Sussex have crept to 13-2 off 12 overs.
In the other game in Yorkshire's group, Kent have lost a wicket at Northants. Daniel Bell-Drummond was the man to go, pinned lbw by Ben Sanderson. Kent are 26-1.
A Cook lbw b Morris 15 (Essex 30-1 v Worcestershire)
First wicket down at Chelmsford.
Alastair Cook is pinned on the front pad prodding forward to a delivery from Charlie Morris.
Not much hesitation there from umpire David Millns in raising the finger as that looked very adjacent.
Essex skipper Tom Westley strides out to join Nick Browne at first drop.

Paul Smith: Stoneman and Burns had the right idea. Get in out of the cold. Welcome back County cricket
