    I feel the supposed peril facing Test cricket is often overstated, but, yes, this series has been a bit flat, in spite of some great cricket and performances at times. Hopefully it's just unfortunate timing in the schedule and not an augur of things to come.

    Very worried about Test cricket. This should have been a hype series. Historically the 'home side to beat' versus the world number one side. Dampened by injuries and sides resting or recovering from IPL. Two-Test series in England and we don't see the best players in the world playing. Root - player of a generation? Will be dogged by captaincy performance which he can't control.
