    Notts Outlaws 152-6 v Derbyshire Falcons 71-2 (6 overs)

Samit Patel is on for this first over and it's a decent start with only six from it.

The last couple of overs have been lower-scoring after a flurry of early boundaries but the Falcons are well-ahead of where Notts were at this stage and the Outlaws need some wickets quickly.

Particularly that of danger man Luis Reece.

    Notts Outlaws 152-6 v Derbyshire Falcons 65-2 (5 overs)

Matthew Carter will have enjoyed bowling that over more than his last as he manages to stem the flow of runs in the fifth over.

Luis Reece is on 43 not out and Leus du Plooy is on14 from eight balls at the other end.

Derbyshire, and in particular Luis Reece, are racing towards the Notts total here.

Reece adds another six before Leus du Plooy follows suit two balls later, with Jake Ball the bowler left looking skyward - and for a solution.

Glamorgan beat Middlesex by 21 runs at Sophia Gardens earlier this evening in the only South group game to survive today's wet weather.

And Middlesex pace bowler Steven Finn afterwards admitted his side had been second best throughout.

“It’s safe to say we came up short in all areas. On the bowling front we could have restricted them to 10 or 15 runs less and we lost frequent wickets when we batted," said Finn.

“Credit to Glamorgan. They played a good game of cricket, especially Colin Ingram, who marshalled their innings.”

Luis Reece looks in great touch as he lifts Luke Fletcher into the stands, before sending the next three balls to the boundary for four.

That's 18 from the over and Reece has them all, as he moves on to 30 from just 10 balls.

    Another one!

Jake Ball takes out Billy Godleman first ball and is suddenly on a hat-trick.

Luis Reece survives the hat-trick ball but we couldn't have had a more contrasting opening two overs.

Nineteen from the first before two wickets fall in successive balls in the second.

Despite Yorkshire's game against Durham being abandoned without a ball bowled, there was one piece of good news for Vikings fans.

With England about to begin a T20 series against Sri Lanka, Test captain Joe Root is to return to Emerald Headingley.

And head coach Andrew Gale has confirmed they expect him to play their next "three or four" T20 Blast games.

Root made five appearances in the 2020 Blast, scoring 278 runs, including four half-centuries.

    Notts Outlaws 152-6 v Derbyshire Falcons 19-0 (1 over)

They started well with the ball and now they've started equally well with the bat!

Luis Reece has helped himself to a six and a four in the opening over which was a very expensive one from Matthew Carter, who gave away five wides too.

Just the 19 from the first over.

Notts Outlaws 152-6 v Derbyshire Falcons (20 overs)

It's a good final over from Fynn Hudson-Prentice who has blunted the dangerous Notts attack with only four coming from it.

Samit Patel starred for Notts with 64 from 32 balls after seeing openers Alex Hales and Joe Clarke fall cheaply.

Logan van Beek made a blistering start to the innings, taking three early scalps, before George Scrimshaw also picked-up three wickets for the Falcons.

It's a competitive total from Notts and Derbyshire will be seeking to chase the total down in 15 overs after a short break.

Notts Outlaws 150-6 v Derbyshire Falcons (14.3 overs)

Great stuff from Samit Patel as he reaches his half-century from 23 balls.

His innings has included six fours and two sixes and he's still looking to add more as we approach the final two overs of this game restricted to 15 overs each.

Mullaney then hits the next delivery for four and Samit Patel then helps himself to a six and a four!

The runs are flowing at Trent Bridge now.

Matthew Critchley takes a comfortable catch at backward point after Ben Duckett mistimes a shot to give George Scrimshaw his second wicket.

Duckett's 38 may prove to be vital come the conclusion as the men above him in the Notts batting line-up all fell cheaply.

Samit Patel is on 24 not out and is now joined by skipper Steven Mullaney.

That was an expensive over from Reece with 18 coming from it.

    Breaking

    Glamorgan 150-9 v Middlesex 129-9

It ends with a wicket at Sophia Gardens as Steven Finn is run out by Marnus Labuschagne.

It is Glamorgan's second win of this season's T20 Blast and their ninth in 11 meetings with Middlesex in the county game's shortest format.

Timm van der Gugten has figures of 3-16 from his four overs, including the wicket of Paul Stirling for 46.

Only when Stirling and Eoin Morgan (33) were together did Middlesex look like they had a chance of reaching their target. They have only one victory from five games.
