There hasn't been as much cricket played this evening as we would have liked, but Notts Outlaws and Glamorgan won't be complaining after victories in the two completed games.

Samit Patel hit an unbeaten 64 and took two wickets as they defeated neighbours Derbyshire Falcons by two runs in a thrilling 15-overs contest.

Glamorgan, meanwhile, moved up a place to fifth in South group following their comfortable 21-run win over Middlesex.

Let's hope for better weather over the next few days as the Blast continues. Thanks for your company.

The next ball is close to a wide but the umpire says no - and it's a dot ball.

  10. Ingram 'chuffed' after Glamorgan winpublished at 21:26 British Summer Time 18 June 2021

"The work the boys have done in the off-season, in terms of team culture and that type of thing, made it really difficult for Middlesex."

    Notts Outlaws 152-6 v Derbyshire Falcons 124-6 (13 overs)

  14. Postpublished at 21:19 British Summer Time 18 June 2021

    Notts Outlaws 152-6 v Derbyshire Falcons 118-5 (12 overs)

Leus du Plooy releases the pressure a little with the first boundary in several overs and follows it up with a six!

He is now on 40 and is being supported by Brooke Guest who is on a run-a-ball four.

A better over for Derbyshire that one but it's still anyone's game as we approach the final stages.

There are 35 needed from 18 balls.

  15. Postpublished at 21:15 British Summer Time 18 June 2021

    Notts Outlaws 152-6 v Derbyshire Falcons 102-5 (11 overs)

Notts have really wrestled back the momentum of this game with those wickets.

Derbyshire looked to be racing towards the total but they are now behind where Notts were at the same stage.

The Falcons require 51 from 24 balls.

    WICKET Hudson-Prentice b Patel 6published at 21:10 British Summer Time 18 June 2021

    Notts Outlaws 152-6 v Derbyshire Falcons 97-5 (10 overs)

Wicket 250 is closely-followed by wicket 251 for Samit Patel!

Fynn Hudson-Prentice goes for the big shot but gets it all wrong and is clean bowled by Patel.

It's very interestingly poised now at Trent Bridge and after all those early boundaries it's been some time since the last one.

  17. Postpublished at 21:09 British Summer Time 18 June 2021

    Notts Outlaws 152-6 v Derbyshire Falcons 92-4 (9 overs)

Steven Mullaney took out Luis Reece and has conceded only five from his latest over as Notts seek to build on their momentum.

Leus du Plooy (21 not out) and Fynn Hudson-Prentice (5 not out) are the men in the middle for the Falcons.

Two quick wickets and this one is a milestone for Samit Patel who claims his 250th wicket in T20 cricket.

Matthew Critchley only lasted three balls before heading back to the changing rooms and Notts have just checked Derbyshire's progress at an important stage of the game.

    Notts Outlaws 152-6 v Derbyshire Falcons 82-3 (7 overs)

What an important breakthrough for Notts as Luis Reece departs after a fine innings.

The opener launches another big shot towards the boundary but this one doesn't quite have the legs and is snaffled-up by Alex Hales.

His innings could be the match-winning one though.

for Reecepublished at 20:59 British Summer Time 18 June 2021

    Notts Outlaws 152-6 v Derbyshire Falcons 82-2 (6.5 overs)

A boundary brings up Luis Reece's half-century and what a great knock it's been from 24 balls.

He's had three sixes in that total and after passing 50 he sends the ball on a familiar journey to the boundary for his sixth four.
