Verma lbw Wellington 22 (Phoenix 58-1)
It is indeed out. The third umpire checks all their replays but the original decision stands.
Shafali Verma has to go for 22.

Mid-shin. I am walking off with her. I had my invisible bat tucked under my arm with her.
Verma is given out lbw!
She wants another look but it looked out.
There's warm applause from the Southampton crowd as Lauren Bell pulls out an impressive slide to prevent a boundary. Two young girls have some colouring pens on their lap as they watch the game.
It's good to see lots of kids in again.
This is a lovely start for Birmingham Phoenix. Southern Brave have won both of their matches so far but are under some early pressure.
Four more!
A real loosener early on from Taylor. Eve Jones pumps it away to the boundary.
Spinner Amanda-Jade Wellington is on now as the Brave continue to mix up their bowling. She manages to keep Verma tied down to some extent with just the four runs coming from the over.
It's time for Stafanie Taylor to have a bowl.
I'm keen to hear your stories of playing/watching weather in particularly unpleasant conditions. So dark is it that the floodlights are on at the Ageas at 3:15pm.
What was I saying about Verma not finding her best form? She whacks Charlotte Taylor for two fours down the ground. Birmingham are rattling along.
E Jones 16, Verma 7
The blonde-haired Bell runs in again, grimacing as the wind and drizzle hits her face. Verma, who is yet to really catch fire in this tournament, has a big swing but only manages a single.

One of my favourites, the pull shot. Beautiful head position and stayed with it. You heard that crunch off the bat.
Crack! Three fours in Shrubsole's first five deliveries. The last is a crunching stroke from Shafali Verma which rattles away to the boundary.
Rain is falling but we're continuing for now.
Hold that thought for now.
Jones shows no respect for Anya Shrubsole's reputation by whacking her for a boundary early on.

I have seen some prodigious swing here as an opening batter here for many years. It has been that kind of day. A bit murky at times. And that does aid swing.
Verma 1, E Jones 5
England legend Charlotte Edwards, Brave's coach, watches on as Bell battles against the wind in her run-up. Wind really is a pain for all sports.
It has got me thinking about the worst conditions I have ever played sport in. You'd have to go some to find a windier place on earth than Saltburn Tennis Club.
As I say Eve Jones has been in good touch. You don't want to gift her early runs. Brave let her get away with a four through some dodgy fielding.
The exciting Lauren Bell will bowl now.
This is Phoenix's third opening partnership in three games. Today Eve Jones partners India superstar Shafali Verma. She has been their form batter so far.
Charlotte Taylor has the ball in hand.
