Brilliant catch by George the highlight as Invincibles struggle in run-chase

Sophie Luff needs runs and her team need them too.
She's a really wonderful player and possesses remarkable consistency. She's quick and runs well between the wickets so Sarah Taylor will need to be ready for some quick singles.

Never. Run. On. A. Misfield.
Redmayne run out Gibbs 29 (Fire 73-3)
Oh dear. Georgia Redmayne won't want to watch that back.
There's a misfield at backward point, the batters scamper through and some sharp recovery work from Grace Gibbs means Redmayne is well short.

Van Niekerk has bowled well today, bowling that consistent line and consistent length. What has impressed me most today is her captaincy. She is constantly moving her troops around.
Take a bow, Dane van Niekerk - the Invincibles captain has bowled her 20 balls for just 10 runs and has taken the wicket of Hayley Matthews.
There's a sense that the Fire need to get going soon. Invincibles have pegged them back brilliantly and it's baffling to think they've lost two of their best bowlers in Marizanne Kapp and Shabnim Ismail.
Invincibles' fielding has been incredible.
Georgia Redmayne smashes a couple out on to the leg side and on both occasions Tash Farrant unveils some pretty impressive leaps to stop them both from reaching the boundary.
Redmayne gets a little frustrated as she hits the ball straight to the fielders a few times.
Welsh Fire need her to stay at the crease though, so she can't afford to throw her wicket away here.
Hayley Matthews started brilliantly again, and Georgia Redmayne certainly had a good view of how hard she can hit a cricket ball...

Van Niekerk has led Oval Invincibles superbly in this tournament but particularly in this game.
Dane van Niekerk has got her team right back in the game here with a tidy set of 10 that includes the wicket of Matthews.
We're halfway through. What can Fire get from here?
Ah, it's a tough one - van Niekerk leaping to the side in her follow through but she gets two hands to it and she'll back herself to catch that.
Can Redmayne make this chance count?
Sarah Taylor got a golden duck against Southern Brave and didn't bat against Manchester, so she'll be hoping to make a contribution today.

The timeout has worked a treat. It just slowed things down and broke the momentum for Welsh Fire. Well done, Dane van Niekerk. Good bowling and good captaincy.
Matthews b van Niekerk 21 (Fire 52-2)
The strategical timeout works!
And it's the big wicket of Hayley Matthews as she edges the ball onto her stumps. Oval Invincibles are delighted.

It is quite early to take a timeout. Dane van Niekerk obviously wants to rally her troops.
To be honest, the running between the wickets has been a bit chaotic so far and now it's like it has rubbed off on the Invincibles in the field.
Time for a strategical timeout for them to gather their thoughts.

We had a chaotic day at Lord's yesterday. There were more extras than Ben-Hur.
