  1. Phoenix 42-3published at Ball 45

    Verma 16, Burns 10

Lovely! Erin Burns uses her feet way to create some room, and she opens the face of the bat, and forces it through the covers and away to the boundary.

Shafali Verma hasn't got past the 45th ball so far in this tournament, so this is now the longest she's batted so far. Can she keep going? Phoenix need her to.

Verma just needs someone to stick with her and try and feed her the strike as much as possible. She's looking ominious, with the way she's moving her feet.

  3. Phoenix 36-3published at Ball 40

Danielle Gregory has potentially the longest plaits I've ever seen. They are flying everywhere as she comes into the crease and twirls her arm over.

She concedes just three from her first five-ball set, mainly thanks to a brilliant diving stop in the covers from Mady Villiers that stopped a certain four after a crunching cut by Shafali Verma.

  4. Phoenix 33-3published at Ball 35

Dane van Niekerk finishes her 10-ball set with just five runs conceded. Superb stuff.

Burns should have been run out by a country mile, but that was a terrible throw.

  6. Phoenix 29-3published at Ball 32

    Oh, Tash Farrant!

There's an almighty mix up between Shafali Verma and Erin Burns, which leaves the latter half way down the track, but Farrant's throw is wild and the run out opportunity goes begging.

    That's a big opportunity missed.

  7. Phoenix 28-3published at Ball 30

Are wicket maidens - a set of deliveries, in this case a set of five, without conceding a run while taking a wicket - a thing in The Hundred? If they are then Dane van Niekerk has just bowled one.

    Superb from the Invincibles skipper.

Unsurprisingly she is going to switch ends, and make this a 10-ball set.

That was a great bit of bowling and excellent keeping from Sarah Bryce. Van Niekerk took some pace off the ball to draw her out of the crease and then it went straight through the gate.

That is another big blow struck by the Invincibles.

  11. wicket

A Jones st Bryce b van Niekerk 1 (Phoenix 28-3)

    BIG wicket!

Amy Jones comes down the pitch, looking to look over mid-wicket, but Dane van Niekerk fires it down a little bit quicker and the ball goes through to Sarah Bryce who completes a good stumping.

    Invincibles are on top.

Time for a bit of leg spin from Invincibles captain Dane van Niekerk.

  14. Phoenix 28-2published at Ball 25

Amy Jones is off the mark by pinching a single, after inside edging onto her pads.

It's another good set from Tash Farrant though. She's taken 2-11 from her 10 balls so far.

That's the end of the powerplay too. Invincibles have won that for me.

Katie Mack will be feeling really hard done by. She'd done exactly the same thing, got the ball straight out of the middle of the bat, but sent it straight to the fielder. She's done a good job but she'll be gutted - she'll feel like she was just getting into her stride.

  17. wicket

    WICKETpublished at Ball 22

    Mack c Gray b Farrant 14 (Phoenix 25-2)

    Immediate revenge for Tash Farrant!

It is a carbon copy of the last ball, but this time Katie Mack pulls it straight to Eva Gray at short fine leg.

Farrant is now the leading wickettaker in the women's tournament with 10.

  18. Phoenix 25-1published at Ball 21

Poor ball from Tash Farrant and Katie Mack swivel pulls past fine leg for another boundary.

She was coming down the pitch again there. Her intent has been good so far.

Katie Mack had a really good WBBL. I saw a lot of her batting when I was in quarantine in my hotel. She likes to use her feet.

Just a single ends the set.

Alice Capsey has only gone for nine for her 10 balls. It has been a pretty economical start from the Invincibles.
