This was the shot from captain Dane van Niekerk that tipped things firmly in the Invincibles' favour.

Match Hero Tash Farrant talking to Sky Sports: "I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous at the end. I don't know how I've won this and not Dane to be honest. I was nervous but I was confident in the girls.
"Alice Capsey is so confident and she knows we really back her. she works really hard and she deserves the success she is getting.
"I've never played in front of a crowd of this size. England is the pinnacle, but The Hundred isn't far behind."

The big takeaway from this victory is having a set batter there at the end to capitalise. When you have someone who can bat through and face between 40-60 balls that is when it is very tough to lose matches.
Birmingham Phoenix will be left to rue their missed chances.

Dane van Niekerk was thumping the air in celebration.
Birmingham Phoenix let themselves down in the field today. It could have gone the other way. You can't ignore four dropped catches.

Dane van Niekerk, take a bow. That was outstanding. That was what we call a captain's knock in cricket.
It is an important win for Oval Invincibles.
Closer than it might have been, but Dane van Niekerk produced an outstanding knock to see her team home.
She finishes with an unbeaten 67 from 51 balls, with eight fours and one big ol' six in that.

Dane van Niekerk has impressed me today batting all the way through the innings. That could be the difference because Phoenix had no set batter at the end.
4 runs needed
What a shot that is!
Another huge strike from Van Niekerk, sending the ball flying into the stands, and it's a much easier target now.

All of a sudden 10 from seven balls doesn't feel quite so tricky.

It is getting close. The Invincibles need a boundary, this is what pressure creates.

Alice Capsey moves to one side and does very well to push for two runs.
