The experienced Sarah Taylor is out there now. She may as well just have some fun.

We're halfway through the chase and Fire are nowhere near halfway through their runs.

    Smith c Mandhana b Wyatt 33 (Fire 58-2)

That's why Danni Wyatt is bowling! She proves us all wrong by nipping out the wicket of Bryony Smith. Smith chipped the ball straight to the fielder.

Danni Wyatt is on for a bowl! I can't remember the last time I saw her bowl.

Maybe this is why... Bryony Smith pumps her for a four and then a six!

It's going to take a minor miracle for Welsh Fire to win from here.

I think Southern Brave's fans can already start booking their hotels for a night in London a week on Saturday.

That was a lovely piece of bowling, just thrown up a little bit higher. Matthews never really found her timing on this pitch. They needed to get away to a flier and they just haven't.

First one gone! Southern Brave just look a class above here. Wellington tosses the ball up, Hayley Matthews skies it and Danni Wyatt is safe as houses under the high ball.

I asked for a partnership at the start of this innings - but not one this slow. with these two, it is either hit out or get out time.

Did some inside knowledge help Taylor there? Her first five balls only cost three runs. Welsh Fire are going nowhere.

Hit out or get out, says Michael Carberry on t'radio. He's right... the Welsh Fire worm looks poor in comparision.

The worm shows Welsh Fire Women are 15 runs behind Southern Brave Women. Welsh Fire Women are 41 for 0 after 35 balls. At the same stage Southern Brave Women were 56 for 0

Spinner Amanda-Jade Wellington whirls through another over. It was going well until Bryony Smith charges down the pitch and bobs her back over her head for four. There's a lovely crowd building at the Ageas. Smith's shot is greeted with polite applause.
