Mady is a gem. She's quite quiet sometimes, occasionally a little bit angry and fiery, which I like. She nearly ended up working as a rep in Ibiza rather than playing for England. Mark Robinson, England coach at the time, called her and she didn't know who he was!

  2. Invincibles 64-3published at 35 balls left

    52 more runs needed

Another very good set of five from Amanda-Jade Wellington. Can Mady Villiers get the Invincibles over the line?

The worm shows Oval Invincibles Women are eight runs ahead of Southern Brave Women. Oval Invincibles Women are 64 for 3 after 65 balls. At the same stage Southern Brave Women were 56 for 2

Invincibles need to be careful that this doesn't get away from them. The Hundred matches have changed so fast - momentum can go quickly to the other team if you're not careful.

  5. wicket

    Kapp c Lewis b Wellington 26 (Invincibles 64-3)

A catch is taken! Marizanne Kapp is fuming with herself. She whacks her bat in fury as she trudges off the field. She tries to hit the ball over the fielder, but whacks it straight to her instead.

Yeah, it's not been a great day for fielding.

  7. Invincibles 57-2published at 44 balls left

    59 more runs needed

And now a missed stumping. It's not going to plan for the Southern Brave.

The fielding hasn't been great today from both teams. I would say that this isn't the easiest ground to field at. It can be tricky to pick up the ball sometimes. But there is no excuse.

  9. dropped catch

Kapp dropped on 22published at 46 balls left

    Oh dear. Oh dear.

It's gone high and far in the air, the fielder gets two hands to it but can only drop it over the rope for six.

  10. Invincibles 49-2published at 50 balls left

    67 more runs needed

It was all very calm and quiet out there until that run out chance. Could that get this game going? It feels like it needs an injection of some energy.

67 from 50 balls the equation.

  11. Invincibles 48-2published at 51 balls left

Ooooh, close! There's a mix up between the batters and van Niekerk is well short of her crease, but bowler Tara Norris breaks the stumps with her hands instead of the ball.

Anya Shrubsole, who did the good bit of fielding, has her hands on her head in despair.

  12. Invincibles 44-2published at 55 balls left

    72 more runs needed

Another steady set of five passes with no real fireworks from either side.

If you're wondering how the Test match is going, by the way ... it's not looking too good. For England, anyway.

Want to see just how good Sophia Dunkley was earlier? Of course you do.

  14. Invincibles 40-2published at 60 balls left

    76 more runs needed

And it's a good start, just a few singles coming from it.

It's not been a bing bash wallop sort of wicket. It's one where you will feel you need to get yourself in.

  17. Invincibles 33-2published at 68 balls left

    83 more runs needed

And another beauty from Kapp! In the air this time, but the same result - four more. All of a sudden the pitch looks a dream for batting with those two boundaries.

Foot to the ball, head to the ball, bat in full flow... beautiful.

Wow! That is the shot of the day.

  20. Invincibles 28-2published at 73 balls left

And what a way to get off the mark! Kapp smashes her first ball for four. Wellington can only smile in appreciation.
