Mark Burt: Yorkshire have delivered one of the most boring 20 overs I’ve ever seen. A black hole of excitement.

    It wasn't exactly thrill-a-minute, admittedly.

    Lancashire 14-0 v Yorkshire 128-7 (1.0 overs)

We finish with another four as Finn Allen cuts a shorter one over point.

Exactly the opening over Lancashire would have wanted.

Part-time spinner Adam Lyth will enter the attack next.

  5. Postpublished at 18:36 British Summer Time 17 July 2021

    Lancashire 9-0 v Yorkshire 128-7 (0.4 overs)

This isn't a good start. Keaton Jennings is the latest to find the boundary, tickling a four down to fine-leg.

Bowler Matthew Fisher is under pressure.

  6. Postpublished at 18:34 British Summer Time 17 July 2021

    Lancashire 4-0 v Yorkshire 128-7 (0.1 overs)

And we'll start with a wide half-volley to the rope from Allen.

Old Trafford goes into party mode.

    Cheers Michael and hello everyone!

Lancashire beat Yorkshire in the rugby earlier today.

Are we on for a red-rose double?

  9. 'They didn't get a bad ball to hit'published at 18:31 British Summer Time 17 July 2021

    Lancashire v Yorkshire 128-7 (20 overs)

Yorkshire bowler Luke Wood, who took 4-20, to Sky Sports:

"Adam Lyth seems to hit me everywhere so to get him out early was nice and whatever followed was good.

"It was just about discipline. Last night we went all over the park and we knew we had to be on it from ball one tonight, the powerplay is crucial.

"We tried to set the tone early, and we did that. We squeezed them down and put in a good performance.

"They didn't get a bad ball to hit or to get away from us, we kept the pressure on well throughout. There never seemed to be a bad over and we learned a lot from last night."

What a squeeze from Lancashire, limiting their rivals to just 128 runs.

I'm going to step away now to find myself a nice cold beverage.

Joe Rindl will take you through until close. Go well mate!

  11. Yorkshire limited to 128-7 by Lancashirepublished at 18:24 British Summer Time 17 July 2021

    Lancashire v Yorkshire 128-7 (20 overs)

A single off the final ball - and that sort of sums the innings up.

Will Fraine ends unbeaten on 22, Dom Bess on four.

Joe Root (32) and Gary Ballance (31) top-scored for Yorkshire but Lancashire's bowlers were on top throughout - just 10 fours and one six tells the story.

Luke Wood was the star of the attack with 4-20 and he's put Lancashire in a great position to get the win they need to secure a quarter-final Blast berth.

Ooh, a no-ball from Liam Hurt - free hit now. Can Yorkshire capitalise on that?

Not immediately as Hurt appears to be, er, hurt.

Dom Bess would have been caught on the boundary but, of course, it doesn't count.

  13. Postpublished at 18:21 British Summer Time 17 July 2021

    Lancashire v Yorkshire 122-7 (19.3 overs)

Just one run from the first two balls of Liam Hurt's final over.

    Another single from the third.

  14. Postpublished at 18:19 British Summer Time 17 July 2021

    Lancashire v Yorkshire 120-7 (19 overs)

Will Fraine cuts a sharp one to the boundary, that will help. Then a single after that.

Yorkshire are full of endeavour here but Lancashire's bowling has been excellent, Luke Wood leading the way with 4-20.

    That's his over allocation done.

  16. wicket

    Waite c Croft b Lamb 1published at 18:14 British Summer Time 17 July 2021

    Lancashire v Yorkshire 110-7 (18 overs)

The slow ball does for Matthew Waite.

He can't get the power he wants and lobs up a soft one for Steven Croft.

Luke Wood back on now, on a hat-trick....

Nope, cut away for a single by Dom Bess.

  17. Not outpublished at 18:13 British Summer Time 17 July 2021

    Lancashire v Yorkshire 110-6 (17.5 overs)

Big run out appeal but Matthew Waite just about makes his ground as Danny Lamb knocks the bails off.

Then Will Fraine hits the next ball for four - always the way.

  18. wicket

    Wood on a hat-trickpublished at 18:08 British Summer Time 17 July 2021

    Lancashire v Yorkshire 101-6 (17 overs)

    Luke WoodImage source, Rex Features

Ballance tries to do exactly the same next ball - but this one's a bit lower and it smashes his stumps. Gone on for a decent 31.

Jordan Thompson comes in - and Jordan Thompson goes for a golden duck, looping one hopelessly high for Wood, who's on 4-10 now, to grab an easy caught and bowled.

That was the last ball of the over so Wood will have to wait to see if he can get a hat-trick.

  19. 100 runs

100 up for Yorkshirepublished at 18:07 British Summer Time 17 July 2021

    Lancashire v Yorkshire 101-4 (16.4 overs)

Gary Ballance gambles on his timing to launch himself at a virtual yorker from Luke Wood and crashes it back down the ground for four.

Yorkshire pass 100 but only 20 balls left in the innings.

  20. Postpublished at 18:03 British Summer Time 17 July 2021

    Lancashire v Yorkshire 93-4 (15.5 overs)

Been a mixed knock from Gary Ballance.

A handful of nice boundaries in his 25no but he's mistimed a few too with Lancashire mixing up their deliveries nicely.
