I'm not sure about that tactic. Adam Lyth is not one of the Superchargers' frontline spinners so you don't want to give someone like de Kock easy runs.

  2. Brave 74-2published at 45 balls left

    55 runs needed

Lyth induces a leading edge from Quinton de Kock, but it drops just short of the advancing fielder.

That's a shot and a half though, De Kock driving with aplomb to pick up four through the covers.

    Well then.

50 balls to go, and Adam Lyth is being brought on.

A few quick wickets changes the game and that's what the Superchargers will be reminding themselves in the timeout.

There's a lot of cold-looking kids in the stands, wrapped up in puffa jackets. It ain't warm out there today.

Ooh, Rashid wants this lbw shout against Davies, but the umpire shakes his head and, after a moment of consideration, they opt against the review but for a strategic timeout.

That's good batting from Alex Davies. He knew all he had to do was help the ball on its way because it was just dropped a bit shorter.

  9. Brave 64-2published at 53 balls left

    65 runs needed

A bit too short from Adil Rashid, and Alex Davies reverse-hoicks it for four. Lovely shot.

Paul Stirling fell a little earlier, but there was still some classic Stirling boshing on show.

A smattering of singles from Mujeeb's latest set of five.

I'll be honest, I'm still thinking about that Vince dismissal.

That's why he is the best in the business. Totally flummoxed James Vince.

    Bowled him with a peach!

I don't understand how you can't love watching Adil Rashid. This is an absolute delight of a delivery, completely wrong-footing James Vince, who tries to shuffle across his stumps and ends up getting cleaned up.

  17. Brave 52-1published at 63 balls left

James Vince goes for a big heave-ho at Adil Rashid and misses.

He covered a lot of ground and did well to get there but it should've been stopped.

  20. Brave 50-1published at 67 balls left

Mujeeb is back and a short delivery is pulled straight through Matthew Potts' hands down at fine leg and goes into the boundary rope, much to the delight of the home crowd.
