Fire 65-4published at 50 balls
Jimmy Neesham is playing himself in like it's a Test match. I haven't seen win predictor for a while but if it's less than 95% in Phoenix's favour then someone needs to have a word.

Moeen hammers 23-ball half-century; competition's second fastest

Wahab arrived in the UK, was sent home for visa issues, came back, quarantined, missed a few games, played once, was brilliant, got injured and is now reportedly out of the tournament.
Not ideal.
Trent Rockets bowler Wahab Riaz has reportedly been ruled out of the rest of the tournament because of a back injury.
Could that mean a recall for Marchant de Lange, who took eight wickets in his four games before Wahab arrived?

That's a vital wicket for Imran Tahir and a big celebration. He doesn't look like he is 42! Great to see that passion although I'm a lot more careful with my own celebrations now.
I got Moeen Ali out once, hyper extended my knee in the celebration when I jumped in the air and did my ACL. The foolish fast bowler tried to bowl next ball which did even more damage I was out for 14 months after that.
Du Plooy c&b Tahir 1 (Fire 55-4)
Look at Tahir go! He gets his second wicket in this long set, taking a catch off his own bowling and sprints off into the night. He punches the air, once twice and again for a third time. Leus du Plooy's stay is a short one.
Phillips c Moeen b Tahir 8 (Fire 53-3)
Imran Tahir hits back and is off running away in celebration - arms outstretched. A moment after hitting that six Glenn Phillips chips the easiest of catches to Moeen Ali.
Mo doesn't drop those.

Glenn Phillips is a dangerous player and can hit a big ball. He's a key player for Welsh Fire if they are to have a hope here.
I've just seen someone suggesting Benny Howell is the spitting image of Novak Djokovic.
See it?
Meanwhile, Glenn Phillips, another New Zealand international, has just whacked his first six.

I'm not sure Birmingham Phoenix's Erin Burns was 100% certain on the dance moves to Saturday Night here but she's a World Cup winner so I doubt she cares...

Ben Duckett will be gutted there. He plays those sweeps, ramps and paddles as good as anyone. The intent was right but not the execution.
Duckett b Howell 16 (Fire 42-2)
Ben Duckett's night is over. He has tried to ramp the ball over his shoulder but missed. The stumps light up as the ball clatters into timber.
Big moment.

I think Birmingham Phoenix are in control here. I wouldn't write off Welsh Fire even though the target looks mammoth. They need Ben Duckett to really get going. He's started well.
Target 185
Gasps and groans from the Edgbaston crowd as an edgy shot from Ian Cockbain flies out of the reach of a diving Miles Hammond. Hammond is no relation to Love Island's Hugo, by the way. I've checked.

I think the intent is there from Welsh Fire but they haven't quite got going yet. I also think Birmingham Phoenix have bowled well so far.
Away from this game, Northern Superchargers' Hollie Armitage has been ruled out of the rest of the Hundred because of Covid-19.
Armitage as been self-isolating after being deemed a close contact of someone who has tested positive.
She will be replaced in the Superchargers squad by Rachel Slater.
Need 155 runs from 80 balls
Munched for six by Ben Duckett! Don't write off the Fire just yet.
