Saying Carlos Brathwaite is a fan favourite is an understatement. My ears are still ringing from the noise which erupted when his name was announced over the tannoy.

A tidy set of five from the captain doesn't concede a boundary but it's a solid start from this Spirit pair.
Manchester Originals' captain Carlos Brathwaite brings himself on to bowl.
Wicketkeeper Phil Salt thinks Josh Inglis is caught behind here, but the umpire signals a wide so he can't have hit it. Nobody else appealed - and so there's no review.

Some early noughties garage is being belted out in the DJ booth, the sun is shining and the queues for the burger stand, ice cream van and bar are all equally as long. Old Trafford is alive and kicking.
London Spirit are on the charge, as Josh Inglis thumps Tom Hartley for consecutive fours over the leg side.

Ooh that's cheeky by Inglis.
And now for a bit of innovation! Josh Inglis shuffles across his stumps and ramps the ball over the 'keeper's head for four more.
Adam Rossington barely moves his feet to Fred Klaassen's second ball and simply nails it straight back over his head for four.

I like that from Carlos Brathwaite - asking Tom Hartley to carry on bowling. He backed up his bowler there, after a tricky start.
Well, what an eventful start!
A few boundaries and a wicket. Tom Hartley completes 10 balls in a row, that wicket giving him a bit of confidence after an inconsistent start.

That's what we have come to expect from Tom Hartley!
Reece b Hartley 0 (Spirit 10-1)
Hartley's back in the game! Much quicker from the spinner, really fired in straight and the left-handed Luis Reece has completely missed it.
And apologies, there was a mistake with the earlier picture - Luis Reece is opening the batting with Adam Rossington, not Josh Inglis as was on the team sheet.
Rossington can't believe his luck here. He gets an almost identical ball and repeats the shot for another boundary. Tom Hartley is struggling for consistency here - every ball has been short or wide.
That's a good start! Tom Hartley bowls a short ball that Adam Rossington can easily whack away for four through the leg side.
