The Rockets are going along very nicely and the Originals need to make something happen.

Steven Mullaney tries to hoick a slower ball from Carlos Brathwaite into the River Trent and ends up having to settle for a single.
A shuffle across from Steven Mullaney as he gets underneath this Carlos Brathwaite delivery and smacks him down to fine leg for four. Clever.

That was a brilliant shot from Malan, a proper cricket shot. You play that in a Test match, and everyone applauds it.
Carlos is back.
Malan 31, Mullaney 11
Shot!
How's that gone for four?! Dawid Malan unfurls a drive that just finds the gap between the two fielders, who end up just watching it roll past both of them and into the rope.
74 runs needed
Mullaney tries to hook another short ball around the corner but Tom Hartley pulls off an excellent stop on the boundary.
Dawid Malan is struggling to make his ground, actually, but Hartley's throw is a little off and Phil Salt ends up demolishing the stumps with Malan stood next to him watching.

Mullaney hooks it around the corner, and that was not a bad ball from Ackermann. He will be key for the Rockets tonight.
Another four!
This time Steven Mullaney goes over the leg side, hoicking the ball around the corner and just short of the boundary rope to pick up a one-bounce four.
Colin Ackermann returns, and his first ball is chipped nicely for four by Steven Mullaney!
Ouch.

This game is very much in the balance, and the crowd are a bit sedate at the moment.

That's an excellent set of five from Matt Parkinson.
Oh, Alex Hales also got a nick on that!
So he was stumped and caught behind off the same ball. Basically, that's very out.

So good from Parkinson, he dragged his length back, it is flatter and it beats Alex Hales. I let the player-fan get the better of me and I did a little cheer there!
He is one of the best white ball bowlers in the country.

Matt Parkinson has his revenge!
That's a big wicket for the Originals. Alex Hales charges at Parkinson, who sees him coming and spears this one a little flatter and quicker. Hales misses and is barely in the frame as Phil Salt whips the bails off. Clever bowling and at a crucial time for the Originals.
Wallop!
Alex Hales gets down and sweeps Parkinson's first ball with aplomb to the boundary.
There's a man in the crowd dressed as a... crab? Or lobster? I mean. Bold choice for a Sunday night.
Anyway. Here's Matt Parkinson.
